|Marc Houseman||Amelia Darrow Sheldon|
I work for a small historical society museum in Missouri. Recently, among some other old photos, we were given an identified photo of Amelia (Darrow) Sheldon. I looked her up on Find A Grave to find that you had posted a nearly identical photo of her, so I'm assuming that perhaps you are a relative. If so, and you would like to have this photo, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Sorry to be late. I need to update my email.
Thank you for transferring Eunice's memorial and for all your good work.

ah yes...I see what you mean now--on my iPhone it shows up correctly but not on my desktop..however, if you click on the image it brings it up correctly. I'm not sure how to fix this as findagrave is putting the portrait taken picture into a landscape view so it fits like they want it. I'll see what I can do but I might have to go back and take a new picture further away in a landscape view. I'll see what I can do..in the meantime, if you click the picture you can see it the correct way. Thanks and sorry.

You are very welcome...I looked up the photo again and it looks like it is positioned correctly. Am I mistaken? This is yet same stone as David's if you didn't notice...his name is just on the other side...I thought it was neat.

You are more than welcome. There is a 2nd name in his marker. It is hard to read but I can make out the name. The name is "Charlotte". I can not make out the dates or any other information. I will continue to study the photo I took to see if I can figure it out!!!

Sorry i got busy over the weekend and didnt get a chance to write back! unfortunately i dont have an ancestry membership ;( but would love to see any pictures you have of my grandma im sad i never got a chance to meet her or have her in my life ive heard from alot of people she was amazing and I at times resemble her! Being that im the only girl from my mom Kathy i inherited pretty much all of my grandmas precious things like her engagement ring and her favorite cookie jar!! so that makes me happy
I have not met one single Barnes relative im really not sure why other than my mom telling me that after Ann passed nobody wanted anything to do with her and her brothers not sure if thats true but if so i just think thats sad but i am amazed how far the barnes generations go back in just the US its amazing!!!
anywho i know my grandpa still does not have a headstone his wife hasnt gotten around to getting one which has been super upsetting to my mom the last i heard my mom and her brothers were going to pay for one as they did for their mom ;(
Well thank you for taking the time to write me back and i would love to see any old photos you have if possible just from things you had posted on this website ive learned alot i was able to pass on to my mom things she had no idea and was amazed to hear! If your ever in Halsey my mom is there again they own and live in the cabin across from the hotel im sure she would love to see or meet any family members :)
My name is Candein I am Kathy's daughter i loved seeing the pictures of my grandma I dont think my mom has seen a few of these before i will have to show her. I was just wondering if you had anymore? we only have a few pictures of Grandma Ann
Im assuming if Ann is your aunt that would make us second cousins? Im curious of the Barnes side of my family as i dont really know much about them :)
My email is Candeinchairez@gmail.com
|James Bellert||McMillan's in Doty Cemetery|
Hi. I did find only one stone in the entire cemetery marked "McMillan." It was for Arthur McMillan. From Arthur's bio, Martha is buried beside Arthur in this cemetery. I took a photo of the grave plot, but there is no marker there for anyone other than Arthur. It is a very small cemetery and I easily walked the entire grounds twice, looking for another McMillan stone. All of the graves are grouped by family name there. All the "Tylers" are together, all of the Skinners, etc. So I'm certain that there are no other markers there for McMillan's. Sorry.
