I am a Texas German all the way. My maternal and paternal ancestors immigrated to Texas from the various old German Confederation states in the 1840s and 1850s.


Although I am here because of genealogy I know and understand that Find A Grave is a grave registration website.

If it were not for the gravers and photographers using their time, money, and gas to wander cemeteries and fend off mud, snow, dirt, bugs, snakes, weeds, poison ivy and who knows what else....then us genealogists would not have this great resource to use for our genealogy.

If I had a hat or wore a hat then I would tip my hat to the gravers and grave photographers out there. I, for one, am grateful for all that you do.
