Bio and Links
Bio Photo Found findagrave when I was doing some internet research on a old family grave site located on our youth camp property. We then took pictures of all the grave sites in the cemetery, added pictures to the memorials that were already created and ended up creating almost a dozen more. From there we decided to document the dozen or so small family cemeteries located in our 20 mile long Appalachian valley that we live in. Enjoying getting to know the history and people of our area.

If I created a memorial for one of your relatives, just let me know and we will transfer. Love answering photo requests, especially in other area cemeteries that haven't been photographed. A

RE: Jones Line
The only "Mattie and M" I can think of would be Mason Wiley Jones (1868-1947) who married Martha Anderson Guthrie(1869-1948) on 18 Aug 1891. Mattie is a nickname for Martha so that would match. I have six children (who all grew to adulthood) listed for them. I remember well two of their children Ellen Douglas Jones and Ruth Jones Brock. I don't recall that either mentions the death of two infants but this is the only family I can think for "Mattie & M". You photographed Mason Wiley's stone #70149578 but the grave for Martha #105094814 is in Charlotte County, Virginia.

The family lived in Craig County early marriage then came to Giles. They were in Newport in Giles for awhile (1870 Census) which surprised me because I thought that once in Giles, they always lived in Green Valley.

When you went to the homeplace and talked with David, you had to pass my father's homeplace. My Aunt Virginia (95 years) lives there. I hope to visit her soon and will ask her some of these questions you've raised. Also my cousin, Tracy Walker, may have some answers.

RE: Jones Line
The only stones I remember seeing at the the small grave yard on the land of Hiram Tracy Jones in Green Valley were the stone for Hiram and the stone for Christine. However, I believe there were two or three small stones also there. I was young at the time I was there and was not "into" genealogy like I am now. I will contact my cousins and see if I can find more information and photos. I don't think there is a problem going to the site but I have had knee surgery and somewhat disabled so it is difficult for me. I did not realize there were two Hiram T. Jones until about a dozen years ago and found there was a relationship of the men but I have not connected the lines. Also there were differences in their bio information including a few years difference in their life span and, of course, marriages, children, and etc.

RE: Jones Line
You may already know that there were two Hiram Tracy Jones in Giles County, Virginia. They were related and Hiram Tracy Road is named for the second, not my g-g-grandfather. My g-great grandparents, Hiram Tracy and Christina Echols Jones are buried on their farm in Green Valley in Eggleston, Virginia. Their great-great grandson, David W. Rungren lives on the farm now. I am sure I have a photo from years ago of the gravestone of Hiram Tracy Jones but I cannot find it. I will check with a cousin if he has a photo of the gravestone of Hiram Tracy. 8464362 Martin Price
I suspect this is Taylor Martin Price, son of Jonas Henry Price and Louisa Ann Snider Price. The whole family, well almost is buried here, and Taylor went by Martin.
.BIRTH 26 SEP 1874 Sunnyside, Montgomery County, Virginia, USA.
DEATH JUNE 7, 1930
He had many siblings as well, Solomon Shaffer Price, Rosena Price etc. His undertaker was on the death certificate as J.A or T.A Helms, is there anyway to confirm this is correct? I find no other place he would have been buried.

Thank you once again for your help.

RE: Adkins/Atkins
Thank you so much for your aid in helping me find relatives. Yes we went to the Atkins Cemetery and I am sure there are relatives there. Not the ones we were looking for. Again, thank you.
