RE: Capt Sampson Williams
Hi Fay,
I figured it was an accidental click of the mouse. :-)
Sampson Williams is the father of my gg grand-aunt and I discovered his grave site online several years ago. I had always thought the graveyard was called the Fort Blount Ferry Cemetery.

I was surprised to see it called the Captain Sampson Williams Cemetery located in Gladdice. I suppose it's all the same place but would like to know it's "official" name if there is one.

Sampson and Margaret had several more children that I will add to his page when I gather my sources. Thank you for posting your information and taking such good care of his memorial!

I found My uncle Buford Hunter's record and you are the contributor. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to post a Picture of his parents marker in the Rob Draper Cemetery? Their Names Charlie Kirk Hunter, and Gladys Simpson Hunter.

Thanks for finding the new Cornwell stone. I sent edits. If you find any others around there, please let me know. I have a lot of Cornwells from that area but have found very few stones for them. Thanks again for all your good work.

I have been doing ancestry and i remembered something from a few years back, i had some friends that owned some land on the smith jackson county line in the funns branch area, we ran across an old abandoned cemetery up on the hill behind their trailer, it was grown up, literally no one knows its there, the tombstones have the name searcy and i blew it off because i did not know that prior to the 1900s the last name sircy was spelled searcy, and because of the location of the cemetery i am thinking that Kt sircys father william buck searcy is buried there. i was wondering because my friend does not own the land anymore, how would a person go about getting permission to find that gravesite, all i want is a pic, if i am right that man populated alot of smith and this side of jackson county...i dont know who owns it now and id have to ask my friend the general direction to go from her old trailer. It has searcys in it I would really love to see that grave yard taken care of i hate to know its grown up and literally unknown
