Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.|
I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I am currently a Chicago police homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 25 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.
I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.
The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)
Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.
Good Luck To All!

I got you email thank you very much.
So sorry to hear of James Garner's death. But maybe it will inspire someone to reshow it on TV. I spent many hours enjoying Rockford Files back in the day.

I need a favor. Can you please take a picture of my great great grandfather's new grave stone? Meridy A. Thurman, Sr. he is at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Plot: Lot S 272 Block- Section 41. You already took one for me last year that's how I found out he didn't have one. He was in the Civil War. So I order one from the Department of Veteran Affair. I'm so happy to say he has a grave stone after 108 years after his death. Please leave all other pictures on his Find a Grave page. Thanks Laurie

|A J Nock||RE: Thanks & Question|
I did speak with the office and they vehemently insisted that there is no monument for these people. I spoke with a cousin who lives in the area, and she drove to the cemetery, checked the names on a kiosk of some sort, and went directly to the gravesite and took pictures of the monument and sent them to me! This is very weird. I will call the office this week and see if I can get it straightened out. Thanks very much for your help in this matter, and I will let you know how it comes out.
