RE: Mary Ann Partridge Boucher
I often wondered how Josiah married Mary Ann. He had been in CA for some time and they had gotten some wealth mining for gold which they used to buy property. At that time, there must not have been many women there. His brother married a women from back home in PA. Both Josiah and David Boucher helped write the first constitution for the new state of CA. The ended up having very sad lifes though. David's wife and daughter were killed at the hand's of the daughter's husband. Money doesn't buy happiness!!

Mary Ann Partridge Boucher
Thank you so much for this information. I had no idea that she lived so long after Josiah died. Josiah was my great grandfather's brother. I looked for Mary Ann in Indiana, but assumed that she had preceded her husband in death. He had been returned to CA to be buried and I found Creed Boucher living with a non-relative. I have been in contact with relatives of his, but they didn't seem to know about Mary Ann.

I appreciate your help.

I see that you show Mary Ann Partridge as the sister. I show Mary Ann dying before 1941. I do not have her exact date, but her son went to live with a family in IN in the early 1900s after his father died. Do you know anything more about the Partridge sisters??

Thanks for any insight.

RE: William & Charles McCartney
No problem! They were on BillionGraves with some others who also had photo request on Find a Grave. Figured I'd help out and get the photo request number down.

Hello - I am researching the family of Nora Jones who married Trevanion Wiggam - she was born 1854

Her parents were Francis L Jones b 1826 and married Ann F McCartney b 1830 Nov 6 1851

I have not been able to locate death or burials for any of the above - all lived in Jefferson Co., Ind.

Ann had 6 children - latest born 1863

Ann's parents were John C McCartney b 1807 KY and Elizabeth b 1810 NY

Do you have any information??

Thank you -Claire

RE: Frank Bailey
Thank you for teaching me something today John McCartney. I never realized what the 49ers were, but I do now AND I know why that's the name of the football team.
So I believe I may have found Benjamin Franklin - Find A Grave Memorial# 51547147
Notice two stones with conflicting birth dates. I'm going to keep digging but I hope that is a great beginning for you. Benjamin's wife's name was Emma as well, and their son Francis.

RE: Frank Bailey
If you have more information about him and his family members, I'll do some looking around over here (Southern Maryland) and see what I can find for you.

I was unable to find a headstone and the Cemetery Transcription page had no record of him, but I found this on the map of all graves. Frank is in the lower right.
I will look again for a headstone during my next visit there.
