Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been pursuing genealogy for about fifty years researching numerous lines in Texas and all other southern states. My Smith family was located in Stephen F. Austin's 2nd colony and 4th colony. My Dyches/Dykes/Dikes line was located in Zavalla's colony.
If you find any mistakes, please advise and I will correct ASAP.
I've added certain memorials that I accidently took pictures of that are not my family or connection. If you find one, I would be more than happy to transfer them to you. Let me know. If I have added directs for you, I would be happy to transfer them no matter what generation if they are not directs for me.
The obits that I have been sending out are gems found in the old newspapers. Hope they add some background. Any picture that I have added to any memorial, you are welcome to copy.
Researching Whitmire, Dyches, Fish, Bennett, Smith, McWhorter, McClure, Ballew, Stribling, Farr, McGinty, Bowles.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD FAMILY PHOTOS, GRAVE PHOTOS, CEMETERY FHOTOS TO MY MEMORIALS BUT PLEASE do not ADD PICTURES OF DEATH RECORDS, WAR RECORDS OR OTHER RELATED GOVERNMENTAL RECORDS TO THE MEMORIALS. THIS INFORMATION BELONGS IN THE BIO SECTION.

Patty, I added the info. I would have deleted mine but since it was created by IdaF...I coudn't. I am managing her memorials since she had a lot of my family in Bell County and she is no longer active. If you want me to transfer this Weaver to you I will. I am not doing to much right now..my husband just passed away and it has been rough on me.

Robert Monroe McWhorter
I saw your picture of my Greatuncle grave site and the information you had with it and I just wanted to let you know that his Dad's name is George Washington not William. There is a headstone with James McWhorter on it and he lived only 4 days my Grandmother told me that her brother was buried next to his son. There is no stone for Robert just a cement block. Thank you

Texana Taylor
Thanks for info on her. After you told me this- I figured out the twin boy and girl buried in section 2 were hers and Mr. Taylors children and linked them also.

Hi Patty,

Here is a copy of a message I sent to you on Dec 28, 2013. My guess is that with all of the confusion during the season, maybe it got overlooked. Thanks.

Hi,

It appears that you have put in the dates for the wife, Kate, instead of the husband, John. See the photo of the headstone.
Thanks and Happy New Year.

Here is a link to his memorial page...

Isaiah Whitmire ancestry
Dear Patty,
I am a descendant of Isaiah Whitmire, 8th child of John and Susannah Metzler Whitmire. In the "Whitmire Manuscript" lineage information was "unknown" or "unavailable". I can provide his ancestry to fill in the gaps!!!
If you are interested?! do you know who has possession of the Ransom Tedder Bible? Have you ever seen it? I would love to get in contact with the author of the Whitmire Manuscript to provide a lot of missing information on Isaiah.
Hope to hear from you.
Another genealogy nut. Cheryl
