Bio and Links
Bio Photo Charles Finnell (1762-1842) is buried outside the village of Mount Airy in Randolph County, Missouri. Born in Orange County, Virginia, he served as a teenager in Washington's army and was present at the British surrender at Yorktown. Later, as a Baptist preacher, he helped found churches in both Kentucky and Missouri.

I am one of Charles Finnell's many descendants.

Please contact me if you'd like to swap info or to correct biographies I may have gotten wrong.

I will happily transfer ownership of memorials of folks I'm not closely related to. Let me know.

Cheers!

Thank you o very much for the cemetery name and ect. I tried for a long time to find someone in his line doing their tree. I am from a different line and I guess, the only one interested in the "whole tree". Nice to find you.

Help!
Hi Dave,
Hope you are enjoying being in the midst of the holidays!
I am looking for who Martha Isabell Finnell, born about 1862 MO, married John W Hickman in 1878 in Chariton Co. Trying to find her, her parents, just about anything. Wondering if she might be Howell Finnell's daughter, but dates don't match. I got her name from an ancestry tree.
Appreciate any help you can give!
Thanks,
Nancy

I enjoy reading old newpapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match the people to articles or obits I find in them. I believe I have done so for Virginia Sampsell.

Thought you might find this interesting.

Thank you so much for attaching Charles to his parents. I appreciate your dedication and all the work you do for Find A Grave. Am hoping to find where the rest of their children are buried. Many thanks. Most sincerely - Carolyn Krueger

Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,

Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,Rockingham Va,Hardy WV and surrounding area.

A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we noted were missing.

Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge process.

Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate memorials.

Thank you.
E49 Created above Statement

PS
If anyone gets Find A Grave to transfer memorials cared for by ProjectMgr Just a heads up I dont delete any connected to ProjectMgr.I worked hard to replace all the memorials that had been deleted.Find A Grave choice to re-upload the Old Deleted memorials And we work free on this site.So if anyone wants our memorials Have Find A Grave Merge them or if you dont have a problem merging then more power to you.

I do want to thank anyone that has helped with my duplicants created after the major upload of old memorials formerly deleted.I really appreciate the help

You sent two edits for place of birth and place of death. They do not agree with her obit. Please provide sources for these changes. I changed the place of death but have not changed the place of birth you submitted in case you have a primary source. You can send it through edits other.

Thank you,
Cheryl

RE: William M Anderson
Hi David,

Can I get you to link William to his parents? He's the only child not linked to my ancestral grandparents Wingate and Martha Anderson.

Wingate Anderson: 157338967
Martha Anderson: 157339730

Many Thanks,

Allan
