"Show me [how you care for] your cemeteries and I will tell you what kind of people you have."|
All of my ancestors for at least six generations are from Fentress county Tennessee. I have a great deal of interest in the history of that area.
Some family names are: WINNINGHAM, ATKINSON, COOPER, WRIGHT, CONATSER, MASSINGILL, BEATY, HOOVER, KING, ROBBINS, YOUNG.
I would love to have old family photos and would be glad to share mine!
I have found many cousins here on Find a Grave and would like to meet more.
"If I didn't have those people back there, I would never have had anything to write about. That's where I got all my stories from. My life is from them. … I'm going to do everything to keep up for them, in memory. That is my duty from now until I die."
- Author Ernest J. Gaines explaining why he takes care of an old cemetery on the former plantation where five generations of his ancestors, going back to slavery, are buried.

Thanks for adding her parents to her bio for me and for letting me know that it was done. It was great to have such a quick response. I appreciate you help and great work here on findagrave.com.

I am having difficulty editing this site for James Samuel Williams. When I add the names of his parents, it will not accept them and goes back to the ones listed.
Another question - Do I put in your number when it says to transfer mgt of this site? I was afraid to proceed with this not knowing if that was the problem and that was what I should do.

First of all I would like to say Thank You for all your interest in Find a Grave.
I noticed on James S. Williams - Ashbaugh Cemetery Stinesville In the Family Links and siblings are incorrect. Pluse were more children besides Naomi.
If possible could we correct this information? I am the Gr Gr Grandaughter of JS and have all the information needed. The obit is correct and his wife Louisa Jane. I do not know how to go about correcting the information as to whether I give the information to you or how this works.
There is also the Brown Cemetery in the country that would be great to see on Find a Grave. What information is needed for this?

Thanks for your note, and I should have realized the same, but that seemed the only avenue for comment. I'll try to pursue the more specific method. Your efforts at documenting these burials have been useful and thanks for that. I have been participating in a Facebook group site that memorializes an area community. Some of the participants are not familiar with research avenues, and I was pleased to be able to use your entries to help a person find their own grandparents.
