Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please let me know if any of my memorials need correction. If I've made a duplicate it was accidental and I'll gladly remove mine if you let me know. For corrections, to add additional information please use the Edit tab on the memorial.

Please, please, please -- Don't scrape headstones or use shaving cream, chalk or anything else to "enhance" the inscription. Regardless of what you have been told it does not wash completely off and causes long term damage. There are other ways to get a good photograph without harming the stone. And even though it's sad, some markers will never be legible.

Due to bad behavior by a few contributors, I will usually transfer memorials only within Find A Grave's 4-generation rule. I'm sorry that a few have spoiled it for others.

I do NOT link to "burial unknowns"; however I will make appropriate notes in the bio field. Otherwise I'll gladly make family links.

If you would like to use my photos please ask first. I will almost always give permission as long as photo credit is given to the Find A Grave memorial.

Many thanks to all who have helped me along the way. I hope to be able to pay it forward.

Note: I am doing random corrections of memorials with no last name. Nothing personal, please take no offense. Thank you.

Re: Rebecca Davis (m. to Lemuel Allis/Ellis - son of Samuel Allis/Ellis)
Looking for a solid connection for Rebecca/Rebecka Davis Allis/Ellis 9ST8-248 ( to her supposed parents, Isaac Davis LDZ5-5BZ & Charity Hall LZVR-J2G (of Lee, Berkshire, Mass), and sibling, Reuben Davis LZVC-QXX (m. to Mary Polly Abbott) who trace back to Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. Reuben Davis was born 13 Mar 1764 in Tyringham, Berkshire, Massachusetts & died in 1810 in Pompey, Onondaga, New York. The will for Isaac Davis (b. 9 January 1720 Tyringham, Tyringham, Berkshire, Massachusetts and d. 5 January 1780 Lee, Berkshire, Massachusetts) names wife, Charity, & children Rebecka and Reuben, along with other siblings (John, Sarah, Mary, Soloman/Solomon, Nathan, Charity, & Isaac), but does not mention any of their married names, spouses, or grandchildren. Also, Truman Leonard Jr mentions Lemuel Allis/Ellis family and his parents, Truman Leonard Sr & Roxanna Allis/Ellis in his journals with visits and other family history he found (accessed thru BYU Perry Collections). Reuben Davis names his last born, Lemuel Allis/Ellis, as found in his will. My Mother is also a Wing, which eventually ties into this line thru marriage. Thank you for all of those who have done research on our family lines/graves! Jackie Coleman (Lemuel Allis, son of Lemuel Allis & Rebecca Davis) (Roxanna Allis & Truman Leonard are the children of Rebecca & Lemuel, & parents of my Truman Leonard, Jr) (Truman Leonard Jr, grandson of Lemuel Allis & Rebecca Davis)

Amanda Davis Braffet, daughter of Reuben Davis & Mary Abbott (Reuben is brother to the Rebecca Iím searching for who married Lemuel Allis)

Abel Owen, husband to Elizabeth Abbott Davis, daughter of Reuben Davis & Mary Abbott (Reuben is brother to the Rebecca Iím searching for who married Lemuel Allis)

Lemuel Allisís father, Samuel Allis (married to Hannah Sheldon). This information Iím searching for is for Lemuelís wife, Rebecca Davis to her parents.

EEK sorry about that. Thanks for catching the mistake. I have no idea who that was supposed to be so I just removed it. You'll probably find more in that cemetery as I am adding names and photos to a large number folks. Don't mind going back as it is peaceful there. Thanks again.

Thanks for letting me know about the Kellie memorial picture. I will be changing it in the next week or so, have to pull up the file I saved it in and check on my computer as those do not show up on the IPad.

RE: Benjamin Harrison Barnette, Jr
Thank you for your interest.

Send an email to the gmail address in my profile and I can send you back an attachment or two about the Remembrance Rug.

No way to do it in this format.

RE: Benjamin Harrison Barnette, Jr
Your inability to readily locate the information gets to the heart of the matter of why I have been going through the old print-outs I used when working on the rug - and putting the information out where anyone can see it.

I should have also included an edit to the effect that Lt. Col. Barnette was 1 of 18 killed in a plane crash.

I try to remember to include the Plane Type and Serial Number to that the crash information can be readily verified (without putting the whole report onto the site).

In this case, the Plane was a C-130H Hercules - serial #74-2064. The Aviation Safety Network provides all the crash info - including where it occurred (Adana-Incirlik Air Base in Turkey).

John Hilliker 48349782, Earl Hanks 47130114, Mabel Hanks 51243207 were my great-grandparents. Mary Stock Hilliker 48349845 was a step-great-grandmother if you're willing to transfer her too. She's the only Grandma Hilliker that my older aunts and uncles ever knew.

family transfers
I am interested in a transfer of John Hilliker 48349782, Earl Hanks 47130114, Mabel Hanks 51243207, Henry Small 51289181, Tayfield Hanks 51243589, and Lena Hanks 51243402. They are all my direct ancestors, great and great-great grandparents. One is a duplicate, but I'd rather not have it deleted just yet. I need to combine the pages and info first.

I found the record of her death and it listed the cemetery in which she was buried. I don't know the story of her marriage and all, but I did put her memorial on Find A Grave...151559277. Nancy
