John Spurgeon's Tombstone
Sometime around the 3rd of July, John's tombstone was vandalized and broken in half, the top half also shattered and split down the middle lengthwise. I intend to contact a local monument company and get the stone repaired, cleaned and re-engraved. His wife's stone was undamaged, and I wil have it cleaned also. Several other stones around the cemetary were toppled. The Muddy Creek Cemetary is not owned by the Muddy Creek Baptist Church, but by an independent group.

Not a problem. Whenever you get around to it.
Thanks.

Samuel Newlon
Here is another Newlon where the name is spelled with an o not an i. I don't know how many of these people are in this cemetery where the name is not spelled like on the tombstone.
Thanks, Carolyn

I have asked that you change the spelling of Newlin to Newlon. You will note that the tombstone also has it spelled with an o not an i. George is #5130037 and Louisa is #5130041
Thanks, Carolyn

Catherine Knox
Hi,

I am a descendant of Chloe Johnson Idol. You mention that her mother is Catherine Knox. I am trying to discover more about her? How did you find her name?

Thanks so much for your work!
