Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have been tracing our family trees for a number of decades. As part of that research, we have walked a number of cemeteries photographing the gravestones. Jim's genealogy centers on Mason County, WV and Elizabeth's family comes from the western New York area.

ADDITIONS or CORRECTIONS
Please submit these with the "Suggest a Correction" link under the white "Edit" tab on the memorial page. If you are requesting a link, please include the memorial's ID number in the request.

TRANSFERS
The purpose of Find A Grave is to record burial locations, not build your family tree. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

If you wish to gather your family members, use the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. Many volunteers spend countless hours walking, photographing, and uploading memorials as a genealogical resource for everyone.

Requests for transfers outside the "Family First" policy will not be honored. (Note: "Family First" as defined by Find A Grave in the FAQs are direct relatives within four generations as siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren)

All the current policies on transfers can be found at "How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?" under the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left hand side of the page.

PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs we have taken can be used on other websites or in printed materials ONLY if credit is given to Findagrave.com (including cemetery name) and credit is given to "Jim and Elizabeth" as photographers. Any images we have uploaded are copyrighted and are not free for the taking without proper credit.

George is my great great grandfather, and I am working on bios for all the ancestors that I have records on. I would really appreciate it if you would transfer this record over to me. Thank you! Kara 47982459

RE: Elmer Abbot in Lyonsburg
No I do not know if there is a stone. If there's not would you please mark the grave site somehow (I usually use a piece of white paper and my cousin Sandy always carries silk flowers in her car for that purpose) and take a photo of the final resting place - please be sure to I.D. the spot in CAPTION under the photo.

I usually put "NO STONE" after the plot number.

Thanks for trying. I appreciate it.

Rudolph O. Sayre
Hi! You've added a bio that states Rudolph is the son of George Sayre and Isabella Casto. That information is not correct as reflected by Rudolph's birth record which can be seen at:
http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=1851997&Type=Birth

His parents are actually McComas Sayre and Lenora Love. If you can alter your entry, that would be appreciated. I've already requested links to his correct parents.

Thank you.
