Bio and Links
Bio Photo Family names include Henkey, Nichols, Laney, Spriggs, Silies, Johnson, Buchanan, Ruhl, Talley, Wiley, Gentry

I love doing genealogy. The more I look at these names, the more I feel like I know them. And I do believe I will meet them all when I leave this life.

I have made memorial pages for friends who are not related to me, and relatives who are not closely related. If you want a transfer, please ask. If they are more closely related to you than to me, then I will gladly transfer them to you.

I believe that families are forever. We have ties that are eternal and we will be together again. I love my family more than anything and praise the Lord that He has given them to me.

A large box of old family pictures recently came into my possession. Many of which have the names written on the back. I'm in the process of putting them on Find-a-grave and FamilySearch. These pictures belonged to my husband's Great Grandma Maude Taylor Beal, and then her daughter Dorothy Beal Dubree.

Thelma Aldrich
Albert B. Ruhl
Hi, my name is Thelma Aldrich. My first husband was Kenneth Ruhl. We had three children together. I'm looking for information on his father Albert B. Ruhl b.6-11-1918 d.9-22-1990. I'm trying to find out who his first wife was . They lived in the St.Louis, MO area and had several children. I came across a census record that had Albert Ruhl married to Lee Ovella Ruhl b.1914. Any information you have would be so helpful. Thank you!

Henkey in St Louis
Just to let you know that they STL Archdiocese burial search changed their website this Fall.... the new one is

http://archstl.org/app/cemeteries/burial_search

Cool Henkey family site.

Should put in Requests for all the Henkeys/ Sextons and any others in Calvary... we will get to them. It just might take a while.

oh yeah Louis in 5.S.- we are working on posting all of the headstones in that sec/lot, since there is no map. Odds are not good that it is marked.

BTW, I have a friend who married a 'Sallee' from Ava, MO... their daughter's middle name is Buchanan. It is a Small world.

Henkey in St Louis
Hello,
I stopped by the office and they will change her last name to HENKEY in the records, but they were not convinced to change the first name to Hattie... The 2 spots that the 'burial' was recorded were both Mattie. That should be done by the end of the week.

They did not see that her burial was marked, nor did they see that there were any headstones around her. When I was out in 16Y I did notice another burial in Feb 1906... I just did not have time after to see if that burial was near her. I will check the next time I go. Those lot were typically sold on 'as needed basis'.

She died at the Women's Hospital of Phthisis Pulmonalis. Donnelly was the funeral home.

If you are going to be doing research in St. Louis/ Missouri you want to look at http://www.stlgs.org/ It is the St. Louis Genealogical Society. I am a member so I am a little bias on how good it is as jumping off spot.

Please let me know if i can help otherwise. I hope that this helps.

happy hunting.

RE: James Coleman Terry
There was a marriage of a James C. Terry to Sarah Jane Robertson in Amherst (sp?) VA in 1839?. The first daughter of James and Harriet was named Sarah J. This leads me to think James & Sarah are my gg-grandparents.

RE: James Coleman Terry
There is a marriage record for James C. Terry and Sarah J. Robertson in VA, and Harriett's first daughter was named Sarah J. This makes me think the marriage record is for my James Terry and that Sarah is my gg grandmother.

RE: Henrietta Roth
I guess (in a way we are). I was related to Heinrich (the man).....but you were related to Henrietta (the woman). So our only distant connection would have been through marriage.

If you ever come across anything else that I need to link...feel free to let me know.

I was raised in Jennings-but seldom get up there anymore. I did go to New Bethlehem Cemetery last year to take the grave photos of my Roth relatives. The one that I cannot seem to find anything about is named Lewis "Lewy" Roth. It is fun trying to figure this out in my spare time.

Thanks again for your suggestion, Darlene.
