Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband, Pete, and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes) & (Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.

We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend.

NOTE: - GUIDELINES ....definition of...

A guideline is a statement by which to determine a course of action. By definition, following a guideline is never mandatory. Guidelines are NOT binding.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

RE: Goldie Schuchman and George Otstot transfer
Good luck in your retirement. I was lucky and retired when I was 57 and my husband was 62. No regrets because we are able to be more active in our grandchildren's activities, genealogy and volunteering on Find A Grave. My newest project is ordering 9" x 6" black granite, laser engraved markers that we put on stepping stones with liquid nail. We have started in my hometown cemetery ( have 8 done) and after that is done we will do the entire county. NO ONE SHOULD BE FORGOTTEN!!!!

Drop by to say hi!
Just looking back at and editing (when needed) our family sites. I wanted to thank both of you again for all the hard work and fine photos you've provided to our Mumper family over the years. Wish we could reciprocate. Trusting you're well and still filling the genealogical gap. Best regards.

Re: Mortimer C. O'Connor, Calvary Cemetery
Hi Brenda,
Just to update you on this memorial that you so kindly transferred to me: I have linked the Pennsylvania record (Mortimer) to the Irish one (Mortimer's mother). Also I have added some (minimal)biographical information about the family.
Once again, thank you for your kind work in adding records for people like me to find.
You have inspired me to add records from the cemeteries near to me to help others as you have helped me. . Thank you.
Best wishes to you, Pete and your families.

RE: Harrisburg Cemetery
I took your advice and did the photo requests. Can't hurt. Maybe someone will do it before the next snow storm comes through. The Lambertons were a big part of Harrisburg. Well known family and very giving. They should have some impressive stones out there. Thank you for the advice. Linda

RE: Harrisburg Cemetery
It sure does answer my question. I had a feeling it was something like that. I was going to make a few photo requests but why bother if folks were not active. I have the section, lot and graves of the Lambertons who were a prominent family way back when. I called the Historical Society and they have the burial records. I talked to Ken and he just goes to his computer and looks it up. There is a Robert Alexander Lamberton, his wife and two sons buried there and a child; Not sure on that one. Should I go ahead and make a photo request? How would one know where Sections and Lots are? Do they have a map? Linda

Harrisburg Cemetery
Why are there so many unclaimed photo requests for the Harrisburg Cemetery? I would like to do a photo request for certain Lambertons buried there but I don't want my request to sit amongst the other 100 or so requests. Are you familiar with the cemetery? Linda

Dear Brenda & Pete,

'Liquid sunshine' on the 4th of July sure is a catalyst for some great genealogy & FindAGraving.

Thank you for accepting my 'auto e/cs' sent just about 2 hours ago, then 'picking up the ball and running with it'! Your enhancements have already been noted and enhanced their Family Group Sheet. :-)

Thank you both for all your F-A-G efforts!

Always, in F-A-G brother/sisterhood,
