Bio and Links

I've been researching my Doyle-Larson heritage for over a decade. My roots go deep in Gibson County, Indiana (where I was born). My mother's family is connected to the earliest pioneers of that county, including Robb, Beasley, Mills, Cunningham, Decker, Anthis and Barekman families. My father's family came from County Donegal Ireland to PA, OH and IN. His mother had deep roots in Vincennes and LaPorte, Indiana. My focus, however, has been my mom's side of the family. If you have relatives in Princeton, Patoka or Francisco, I'm probably somehow related. Leave a message to say hi or let me know how we're related. Thanks!

A quick note on the Mills family. They came to the Northwest Territory, settling near Princeton, before Indiana was a state. As Indiana's bicentennial approaches in 2016, I'm preparing a booklet on the Mills family's more than 200-year history in that state. If you are connected to the James Mills family that travelled from Maine to Indiana (NW Territory) about 1811, then I definitely want to hear from you!

RE: Charles H Dilday buried in Princeton, IN
Chris, thank you for writing. I took over this memorial, and have been working on the Dilday family history for quite some time. I have not done any edits to this memorial, and will update it as soon as I gather up the information in my file. You are correct in that he died in Racine.
Best Regards,

Reva M Barr Smith
I was curious how you are related, if at all, to Reva Barr Smith. She is the sister of my great grandmother, Ruth Ann Smith Huntzinger. Thanks for your contributions!

Re: Lawrence Joseph Olds
Chris, you had sent me pictures of Lawrence Joseph Olds tombstone at Arlington National Cemetery. Since that time his wife has died and she is not buried there also. If you are out that way again would appreciate your help getting a picture of her tombstone also. Her name was Opal (Beacham) Olds. Mary (Oliver) Mastripolito

I had connected with the Doyle-Larson family tree. Christopher had contacted me regarding my tree which is now Reinhart Olds Mills Singer. A number of the people in your tree match mine.

RE: Pittmans in Park Lawn
Chris, we no longer go to the cemeteries due to heath issues. But, I looked at the Browning site and yes, PL does mean Park Lawn. Here is Park Lawn's phone number if you would like to give them a call - 812-476-1456. Hope this helps.

RE: Lewis Rupert Bailey
Yes, this is confusing. Cemetery office records show that he is buried in the Hadden plot. His wife's stone is in that plot also, but the other half of her stone is blank. She may be part of the Hadden Family, or he may be, but I have found no connection. I'll be out there again next week and will try to check again.
Thanks, Joe Craver
