Helena Fricke
I really have to learn not to hit enter after the subject... sigh. Did you request the photo for Helena Fricke in Forest Hill Cemetery? I had some additional information about her.

Could you please add January 4, 1888, Traverse City, Michigan for the death info?
Thank you.

J.M. Wuornoksen - Jacobsville
Hi Rhoda, hope you've had a peaceful winter. Note on the above: I think this poor baby's name is really Kalle (Charlie), according to my imperfect understanding of Finnish syntax. If the deceased was a child, they would usually list the parents first on the stone. He is probably the son (poika) of J and M Wuornos; wondering if his mother could have been Amelia d. 1926?
Cheers, Donna

RE: Finnish graves at Jacobsville
Hi Rhoda, Thanks for your message and all the work you've done on our local cemetery! I guess it makes sense for me to assume management, since I live only a few miles away and love visiting there when the mosquitoes aren't too bad or the snowbanks too high. Finnish-speaking friends have been a big help, too, in deciphering some of these inscriptions. If you want to transfer them to me, I won't turn it down. Have a good day and stay warm!

Elmer Owens (unknown - 1993)
I will fill this request but I'm going to have to wait till the Michigan winter snow melts, everything is covered at the moment and there is no way to much under so much snow, i like to take the best pics as i can and even clean and remove grass and etc. from the headstone. i tread every headstone as if it was one of my own family members... so as soon as this snow melts i'll be on the hunt...

Mortimore Owen.
As of 2011 I've taken pics of every grave in Oakgrove. If it's not on findagrave then either there is no grave stone or it is unreadable

Finnish graves at Jacobsville
Dear Rhoda,
Thanks for all your hard work on this site. I live just a couple of miles from the cemetery and am intrigued by the old Finnish gravestones, some of which are so worn as to be barely legible. I have suggested an edit on this "unknown" one based on my limited knowledge of Finnish and consultation with Finnish-speaking friends. Now that the mosquitoes have mostly died down, I'm hoping to walk around and do some more research.
Best regards, Donna
