I began my family research project with my father 10 years ago. He was a marvelous oral historian. Yet, we recognized the two fires that destroyed his parents' homes had also taken the pictures and records. I began contacting extended families trying to collect photographs that were lost to us. I have met some marvelous individuals over time that have shared pictures and memories, and I am grateful. After the death of my dad, I decided to continue the project and to that end, I now work primarily on my family surname. But with the wealth of information I have amassed, I am contributing to this website so that others, just like us, will have a tangible piece of family history.|
If you find a memorial I have created for a member of your family, please request a transfer of management, I will be glad to do so. Should you see an error, need to link a family member, send me an edit request.
My purpose is to link the generations, not to create quantity, rather quality. My goal is to provide family history footprints......
With help from Find A Grave members & their contacts, I am now a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution through my maternal grandmother, Leno Kathryn Williams Poland. Thank you all so very much, it is an honor working with so many dedicated individuals who volunteer their time and effort to those of us so far away.

Ibbie was Joseph Henry Huddleston's FIRST wife and mother of 4 girls and 2 boys before her death in 1851. JHH married second Louisa Meador, mother of two girls before his death in 1864. I have names of children if you want them. Happy hunting!

While working on my family lines, I came across Margaret "Maggie" Summers who is buried in the Dewville Cem. Dewville, Gonzales Co, Texas. I notice that in 1894 she marries Robert Lee Batey. IN 1900, the census states that stepdaughter, Willie Ragsdale-17 is in the home. Willie Ragsdale Wright's death certificate states that William is her father. Willie is buried in the Dewville cemetery. I came across your listing for William in the Sandies Chapel (just across the road from the Dewville Cem.) I'm wondering if William stayed behind when widowed mother left Gonzales Co. He married Maggie, they had Willie and then he soon died. Suzanne F Stein

Marsha, this photo request was still active when I added my photo today. I'm sorry for the duplicate. I didn't realize until afterward that someone had already posted a pic of her headstone. Also, you asked if there were any graves with the name "Morrison" nearby. My husband and I looked and didn't see anyone with that name near Mary's. -- Amy W.
