Find a Grave is an excellent way to post a memorial for your ancestors and friends, and a good way to keep your family history for the next generations.|
I will be happy to transfer a memorial to you for your safe-keeping for a family or friend unless they are my relative or close friend.

|James Clair||Robert Erwin McNair|
Not mine. His father was Roderick McNair. I have run across this name in Mississippi before. Thanks for the other help. Jim
|James Clair||RE: Irene V McNair Fowzer|
I have Irene's death certificate. All of the McNair's buried in Upshur and Wood Co at Findagrave are my relations and most are my memorials. I also have a McNair at Ray Cemetery at Crow. Ida Moore. I have tried to maintain all McNairs but some contributors do not want to transfer. Grover McNair and those at Sunset. I don't like to fight. I know where everyone is buried and thats want I want to know. My grandfather is Curtis McNair at Shady Grove. I don't know how Irene is connected unless Robert Henry Ray changed his last name to McNair. I thought that maybe Heneritta(hattie) was the McNair but Ancestry and Family search has her as a Landers. 1940 has a Irine McNair married to a Robert and having a daughter Virginia. Irene may have been married before to the McNair and then married a Fowzer. I don't have a Robert McNair that was ever married. Except for my gg grandfather. I need to stop I'm going on and on. Later Jim

Joanna, Are you related to Irene. My grandfather was a McNair and the family all lived in Wood and Upshur Co. Her maiden name was Ray. Do you know why McNair is on the headstone? Confused to say the least. Jim

Would you email me directly since I seemed to have deleted our correspondence. Thanks.
this was our discussion of "tommie"
Okay, Dennis, I found very little information on her in our family history book...only that her name was "Tommie" and she married a Frank Yancy, and had a child named Joseph David.
However, I found this on World Connect. I don't know if you are familiar with World Connect, but I have used it a lot over the years. It may not always be the most accurate as far a spelling, or even some dates, but it is probably as reliable as most genealogy sites.
I don't know at what point your family changed the spelling of Yancy to Yancey. I live 9 miles from Alba, Texas, and I live in Mineola, where some of the Rays were known to have lived. I will be out most of the day today, but when time permits, I will try to find where these people are buried.....if that is the info you want.

|Deb||RE: edits tab|
Thank you for adding info.
As for sending/receiving edits, the new edit system began last year. It is proper protocol to use this feature. It takes contributors directly to name in question, thus lessens the chance of a mistake, AND its a fantastic time saver! With a mere click of a button the edits are completed. Not to worry though because if a contributor doesn't reply or do the edits, the new system with automatically do them within 21-30 days.
