Bio

I was born in Augusta, Georgia, but now live 35
miles north of Birmingham, Alabama. I have been doing Genealogy since 1989 and am a member of the North Central Alabama Genealogy Society. My Cousin (Familygen99) and I, are working together on our family trees. We also help others find information, as much as we can. I am researching Darnell, Lynch, Brown, Easler and Logan in my line; Greene, Price, Thompson, and Weeks, in my husband's line; and also McClellan, Ryan, Arrington, and Reeves for other family members.

If you need any memorials transfered, just ask. I will be glad to do so, as long as they aren't also part of my family. And please be patience as I am not on Findagrave everyday.

Credit is given to findagrave members sending me information to post to memorials. I also do this as a way for me to remember, and others to know, where I obtained that information. If you do not want your name posted, just let me know, and I will remove it.

Please leave flowers on my family's memorials.

My Husband:

John Douglas Greene

My Love, My Life, My soulmate. We were married for 36 years, and after 17 years, I still miss him more than words can say.

My Parents:

Amos Goines Darnell

Katherine Virginia Brown Darnell

If only everyone had parents like mine. They valued their family above everything else. Any child was welcome anytime. They always found room for you, no matter how full the house became.

My Sister:

Deborah Jean Darnell

Our baby sister. All her life she was plagued by health problems that eventually took her life. The unnamed illness stumped doctors and kept her in and out of hospitals from the time she was 5 years old. She never complained, but took each day for what it was. She will be remembered for her bravery, loyalty. loving heart, and kindness. She touched our lives with the spirit of an angel, and gave joy to all who knew her.

My Paternal Grandparents:

Henry James Darnell

A real cowboy in his day. Even down to the 2 six shooters he wore on his hips, and his horse named Dan.

Adeline "Addie" Lynch Darnell

born in 1891, she always said she was a gay 90s girl. When "Henry came courting", she would make him turn his back, so he could not see her ankles when she climbed out of the wagon.

My Maternal Grandparents:

John Edward Brown

Grandfather Brown was quite the jokester and was so full of life. He loved music, gardening, family and my grandmother with a passion.

Minnie Ruth Logan Brown

My grandmother always had a helping hand and there just wasn't anyone in need that she didn't help if she could. She often would say, "I think I have a nickel". She was an anchor in a storm for many of her grandchildren. She also had a good sense of humor and a gentle spirit.
