My name is Olevia Jane Hembree Smith. I have been researching my family genealogy since about 2001. I was shocked to find out there were so many of us. There are only two families with the same last name in this area. I have a genealogy website at tripod.com/fp-olevia-ivil/index.html|
I sent out a Hembree Newsletter for a few years, but kinda got burnt out on it. I may resume it again at some point. I'm still available to help others with their research if I can.
My goal is to help others with their research if I can and to make my website as accurate as possible. I know that I had a very hard time finding information during my research. Web sites like this one helps alot.
If anyone finds any errors in the postings I posted on this website, please email me with the correct information and I will correct it. Some of the headstones are in very bad condition and I'm not sure I read them right.

|Timothy Smith||RE: Isam Smith Cemetery|
Thank you. Any information you can get would be appreciate.
|Timothy Smith||Isam Smith Cemetery|
My name is Timothy Smith. If my genealogical research is correct, my great-great grand father, Charles Smith is resting at the Isam Smith cemetery in War Fork, Kentucky. I noticed that you are the contributor for this cemetery on Find A Grave. I am right now planning for a trip that will take me near War Fork. I was hoping you could give me better directions to this cemetery. My other internet searches have not given me any results.
|Melissa V||Laura Bays|
I saw my great grandparent's headstone in a pic that you posted - joel bays and Laura bays. They had 8 children. Also the cemetery isn't named Bays cemetery, though a lot of them are there. It is called coon branch cemetery.
|Rhonda Lewis||John L. Hembree|
Seeking information regarding John L. Hembree (married Lillie/Lilly Rose), son of mother Julia A.E. Jackson Hembree (later married to Turner Abrams of Big Hill, Madison Co. KY) and father William Hembree, of Horse Lick Creek, Jackson Co. KY.
Julia had another son named William Jones after William Hembree's death.
Wish to know burial location's of John, Julia, and hopefully, of Turner Abrams).
|Joyce (Burnell) Wiggam||Jasper Burnell|
My name is Joyce Burnell Wiggam, my father's name is Ollie, son of Jasper and Sophia Burnell. I am trying to find out more about Jasper, mainly his father and mother's names, etc. I know he is buried in Silver Creek, in Berea, Kentucky, Madison County.
I am searching my genealogy and would appreciate any information that anyone has.
Thanks so much.
Hi Jane, David Brandstatter here just north of Tampa, Florida. I am assisting a good friend (Harry Rice in Michigan) with his maternal genealogy research. It appears we are both researching the same family :) I understand that Ezekiel Hembree is your gg grandfather...my research suggests that Ezekiel is Harry's ggg grandfather.
Would love to speak with you to share/discuss info.
Hope to you from you soon!!
PS: I sent you an email to your hembreeNews@yahoo.com the other day...did you get it??

Please let me know. I have a family tree named Sheets/Gibson on ancestry.com. I am also related to Sarah "Sally" Jane Hembree. She married James W Gibson. They both resided Tinsley, Bell Co., Kentucky. Sarah, did own property in and around "Wilson Holler" Just 3 weeks ago took mom back to her kentucky residents and accidently ran into a Lonnie and Faye Wilson and Lonnie's Grt. Aunt would have been Azzilee Hembree. Thought I would run this by you so we can connect and compare our notes. Warm Regards, Barb (Sheets) Kuhbander.
