Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in the Wesley Chapel Community. My father, TommieJohnson is buried in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. I still miss him. I would like to thank everyone who has left a flower on his memorial. He was a wonderful man. My greatgrandmother Anne Lightfoot,is buried in Widnes, England. She passed away not long after my Mother came to Texas.

I am also the ggggrandaughter of Captain Samuel Harrison Bowen, and also James Jennings. Who both served our Country when the Tea Party first sprang into action. I am a member of The Houston County Historical Commission located in the Courthouse Annex in Crockett.

I believe very strongly in cemetery preservation. Cemeteries in most cases are the only history of those that came before us. Like rare books in a library once it's lost it's lost forever. My only intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever. This is copied from a fellow graver: "Get out and photograph memorials while they are still readable. This site is primarily for GRAVE photos not genealogy, preserve those memories that are quickly fading."

For those who wonder about such things, when the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created, this is due to a few members who decided to transfer their memorials to multiple Findagrave contributors .... . and I am honored to be one of the contributors trusted to look after some of those memorials.

FROM THE FAQS:
How do I clean a headstone or grave marker?
Unless you are related to the interred on the headstone in question, DO NOT do anything to the headstone.

Please do not post death certificates on the memorials that I manage. I don't feel that it is in good taste and you will be asked to remove them.

FROM THE FAQS: If you want to add from an obituary: Newspapers represent a very good source of information as a public record. What we ask is that those who index and memorialize the deceased from newspapers and other 3rd party accounts do so with full respect of copyright, refrain from adding information about living people, and respond generously to the family of the deceased.

I am happy to share ANYTHING that I post. I have no crazy rules, My pictures are your pictures. Feel free to beg, borrow, steal with no intent to return. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ... not for my ego or for the "numbers."

Be kind to one another because - One day we will all be, 'just a name' etched in stone. "Nothing is ended until it is Forgotten."

This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on Findagrave!)

Memorial# 9011842-Porter
Hello, I see your flower on Memorial# 9011842.
Accordingly, I see Memorial# 69296980 and Memorial# 69293375 to be his sisters. Memorial# 69296980 might possibly be a cenotaph, as no documents for death or later life are noted. Parents Joseph Porter and Margaret Gordon were Bonded Bond Date: 2 Dec 1840 in Mecklenburg. I have a note of my interest on my profile page and am trying to bring Pleasant Grove to a plateau to stop. Any input appreciated. Greg Hetzler.

Robert E McKee
His number is 103147863. I sent the same information to Skip Farrow, the creator of his site.

How did you know this information on Robert?

Robert Eugene McKee
Carol,
I am a distant relative of Robert. The information that I have is that his father was James David McKee born abt 1856 in Columbia, IL to Bridget McKee (born abt 1822 Ireland) his father was also from Ireland, but his name is unknown.

His wife Alice E Cleve (144652974) was widowed by the 1900 census, but her death certificate list her husband as James David McKee.

Roberts siblings are: Alice E McKee (144653001), James S McKee (144734000) and David Bernard McKee (62123158). His brother David had three sons who served in the military: U S Navy Commander Ralph McKee, U S Army Major James G McKee and Rear Admiral, USNR Donald Eugene McKee.

Tinsley, Hill, Jones & extended families
Carol, I would just like to say "Thanks, and God bless you for helping so many people find their extended families". You are such a blessing to so many. I would like to make copies of some of your photos. I am trying very hard to leave a good true picture for my descendants and extended family to follow on Ancestry and Family Tree Maker. I have been on this journey since the 80's and am running out of time. Thank you for YOUR help. God bless you.

Ralph Nelsonş
Hello! I have added Mr. Nelson's obituary upon
your request. If you would like ownership of this memorial page, I would be happy to transfer it to you. I merely saw that he did not have a page once I had photographed his tombstone. I am not a relative. Thanks!

Thanks for noticing Carol...
Thank you for appreciating Johnnie Dawes (Gause's) beautiful portraits as a woman and a young girl. It is always sweet to hear others compliments on this tiny but key bit of her legacy which she passed down for us to enjoy and share.
