Bio and Links
Bio Photo Find a Grave in creating little miracles everyday by connecting the living with their ancestors. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.

By adding cemetery memorials to Find a Grave, I am trying to add correct birth and death information, including places, parents, spouse and children (and photos when possible). Sometimes the stone just has the years (i.e. 1876-1947). If I can find the birth and death dates on Ancestry, I like to add that information, too. I also try to find obituaries, then add links to other family members.

In placing obituaries on the memorials, I am attempting to provide families and researchers with additional information on the individual. Obituaries published in newspapers are in the public domain and as such, anyone can legally post an obituary and its photo. There are no copyrights unless noted in the obituary. I hope I don't offend anyone. If I do, I am sorry and will gladly delete information.

If you find mistakes on a memorial, please let me know by telling me in "Edit" on that memorial. I will gladly correct mistakes.

If you'd like to manage a memorial I posted, please let me know by asking under "Edit" on that memorial. I will transfer to any relative, unless the memorial is for one of my own relatives.

I have always found cemeteries a place of serenity and meditation, away from the busyness of the everyday world. To me they are very sacred, as the lives of those buried there are sacred.

By sharing information of those who have "gone before", we are honoring their lives. Some people live and die without any fanfare. This site gives the dead their "Notice".

I know a lot about the Slaughter family that was centered in Van Alstyne and descendents of Collin McKinney. Let me know if I can help you.

Hi Sherri,

The details are directly from Omaha World Herald Monday, March 10, 1980. I may have been a little presumptuous as Athena is described as Bernard W wife and not Sandra's mother. Suggest you refrain from including my error. As Sandra's obit is short on her Hardesty line hopefully I will turn up something with a little digging.
