RECENTLY SUFFERED A STROKE SO MIGHT BE SLOW TO ANSWER|
Requesting a transfer through the Edit feature insures that no mistakes are made. I manage too many memorials to research each one. If I find out later that an edit sent to me is not accurate, I may change it. I do not transfer to "Anonymous" nor do I do edits from them, without some explanation of the source of the information.
I love to see the memorials come alive with biographies and family history....and photos of our loved ones. I just LOVE it when I can help someone!!!
I have been researching some of my families since about 1978.
My grandmother went to cemeteries with me, and once said she would like the following to be on her stone: "WE LIVED TOGETHER, WE LOVED TOGETHER AND NOW WE REST TOGETHER". I Just fulfilled that request!!!!
PHOTOS: PLEASE GIVE CREDIT FOR MY PHOTOS THAT IS HERE ON FIND-A-GRAVE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I TAKE PHOTOS TO SHARE----NOT TO KEEP AS MY OWN. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THEM, PREFERABLY WITH CREDIT.
I recorded and submitted the ORIANA CEMETERY, near Peacock, Stonewall Co., Texas in about 1986, which can be found on the internet by doing a search. (It was possibly submitted to interment.net)
The Oriana Cemetery at findagrave is here.
"A person's life was more than the dash between years...." That dash represents your entire life and we need to live it wisely.
Why I research and why I work with Find-A-Grave:
THEY DESERVE TO BE REMEMBERED AND RECORDED!
The names and dates on the stones represent a life lived. These people aren't just names on a stone---they once lived, laughed, loved, were happy and sad, shed real tears, endured pain.
They sometimes endured pain to the end, and they deserve to be remembered == not as names and dates on a stone, but as REAL, LIVE, LOVED people who had a story to tell! Some of them raised children, and some didn't. Some died way too young or as children. There is a story between those dates that you see on the stones. That is why I will research them and record it as best as I can, and SHARE IT HERE ONLINE WHEN I CAN.
“Every time you feel the warm air on your skin, know that I am kissing you gently and whispering that I love you.”
PLEASE DO SEND A MESSAGE TO ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR SOMETHING NICE TO SAY!

|Ted Jr.||Luther Myers Bilberry 53671251|
I just noticed that the date of birth for Luther Myers Bilberry (53671251) is shown as 1866, rather than 1856. I submitted an edit through the memorial, just thought I would "explain."
He is in the 1860 census in Pulaski as being 4 years old. The picture of his headstone is a little hard to read but definitely says 1856. Also, born in 1866 would have made him only 14 years old when he married.
I am a Bilberry, gr grandson of Esau, and I do appreciate all the effort and time you have put in on these memorials. I like going to the cemeteries and finding ancestors as well. Some of them are evading me and it gets a little frustrating at times.
Ted Bilberry Jr.

|Striking Colors||William Hamby Andrew Hamby|
My relative was William's younger brother Andrew (A.H. Hamby refered to in widow's pension application). I am trying to find out about Williams parents Lank and Nancy Foster Hamby who died in Benton Co., AR.

You are welcome.

You're welcome. Maybe no stone yet, or perhaps the records have the wrong section listed. You could try the Portage Township Office (which runs the cemetery) 906-482-4310. Perhaps they have more up-to-date information, and could tell you if there is a stone in place.
Thanks for the updates, they have been added! Have a Great day!

|Lynn||RE: William Fountain Hamby Jr.|
I think you might remember the problem with the contributor who established William Hamby, Jr.'s memorial in 2008. He refused to make changes and was impossible to contact (these were the days before Ancestry bought findagrave and the days before the "edit" key that is now featured on memorials. I emailed findagrave administration several times about the contributor and his plan to sell books by using findagrave information.
The same contributor who contacted you about the duplicate also contacted me yesterday about another duplicate memorial that I created. I wrote him and told him of the situation. After giving it much thought, I have decided to ignore him. He can use the "edit" key as well as I to alert findagrave to the situation.

Was she a photo request of is she any relation to you. I believe she is the mother to Cora Saphronia Hough who is also buried at this cemetery. I'm researching this family because I have DNA connections with them. Im trying to connect with family members. Thanks for any information.
