RE: John James Harris
Hello,

I did send an email to your email address that has my return email. Yes, his father was Wiley Harris. I have the line documented through Wiley's father and through his mother, Elizabeth Jameson to her grandfather. All my information is documented through Bible and other documents. I too have a tree I would be happy to share with you. I will email you the Bible records. My email is Hauntedrose1949@aol.com

John James Harris
I am interest in your post on the grave of John James Harris, only identified in the newspaper clippings as John J. Harris. In my tree I have the documented (via Bible records) of the brother of my great-great Grandfather, a John Jameson Harris born 22 February 1812 in either Albemarle or Augusta County, Virginia. Could these be one and the same?

Transferred Memorials
I transferred the three memorials from Shiloh Cemetery that you requested. In the future, would you please include your Find a Grave member ID in requests for transfers? It is helpful to the creators of the memorials, so they do not have to look up the number themselves. It saves us time. Some people will delete the requests without doing so. Thanks

Our Great Grandfather, Sir Thomas Richardson 1569-1935
We are both related to Sir Thomas Richardson born 3 June 1569 in Westmill, Hartfordshire, England, died 4 Feb 1635 in Westmill, Hertfordshire, England. Son of William & Agnes Richardson. My grandmother was Fannie Eliza (Robbins) Leslie 1875-1938 married to Frank Leslie, Sr. We may connect from the Robbins family to Sir. Thomas Richardson since we both are related to Thomas Richardson & your sur-name is Robbins. I will be glad to send you my lineage to help you to find the connection to our 10th & 11th great grandfather. Please let me know if interested.

Monte Elam
We both made memorials for Monte Elam. Since you made yours first, do you want to take the birth and death dates off of mine? I'll then delete my memorial.

Thanks, Joy

John and Eliz. Harris
Karody,

I checked Fruitland, Sunnyside, Cottonwood, and Frost cemeteries to see if they were interred in any of them, but they were not on any records. If they had their own farm, might they have had a burial site on their property? I just can't find them in any records. If the A. Greetings said they were interred at Americus C, then they may have as we have found that the records we have are not infallible! In fact, there are no records from the late 1980- the early 2000's. That is pretty recent to have a gap like that, but there is a big gap. The thing that has helped us the most is the Gen. Soc. pics for all the cemeteries in Lyon county except the two large ones in Emporia. Hopethis helps you. Cheryl Henry

Researching
RE: Elijah Weeks
A friend has many old Floyd Press from 1940s - 1960s. If I see any related articles to cemeteries I have photographed, I am trying to scan them and add them to memorials. You are very welcome, so much of Floyd County history has not been digitalized in a searchable fashion....I fear the info may be lost in time to come..our older folks are not going to be here forever and we seem to forget they are a gold mine of information. Have a good day
