Our Great Grandfather, Sir Thomas Richardson 1569-1935
We are both related to Sir Thomas Richardson born 3 June 1569 in Westmill, Hartfordshire, England, died 4 Feb 1635 in Westmill, Hertfordshire, England. Son of William & Agnes Richardson. My grandmother was Fannie Eliza (Robbins) Leslie 1875-1938 married to Frank Leslie, Sr. We may connect from the Robbins family to Sir. Thomas Richardson since we both are related to Thomas Richardson & your sur-name is Robbins. I will be glad to send you my lineage to help you to find the connection to our 10th & 11th great grandfather. Please let me know if interested.

Monte Elam
We both made memorials for Monte Elam. Since you made yours first, do you want to take the birth and death dates off of mine? I'll then delete my memorial.

Thanks, Joy

Karody,

I checked Fruitland, Sunnyside, Cottonwood, and Frost cemeteries to see if they were interred in any of them, but they were not on any records. If they had their own farm, might they have had a burial site on their property? I just can't find them in any records. If the A. Greetings said they were interred at Americus C, then they may have as we have found that the records we have are not infallible! In fact, there are no records from the late 1980- the early 2000's. That is pretty recent to have a gap like that, but there is a big gap. The thing that has helped us the most is the Gen. Soc. pics for all the cemeteries in Lyon county except the two large ones in Emporia. Hopethis helps you. Cheryl Henry

Researching
RE: Elijah Weeks
A friend has many old Floyd Press from 1940s - 1960s. If I see any related articles to cemeteries I have photographed, I am trying to scan them and add them to memorials. You are very welcome, so much of Floyd County history has not been digitalized in a searchable fashion....I fear the info may be lost in time to come..our older folks are not going to be here forever and we seem to forget they are a gold mine of information. Have a good day

RE: John J and Elizabeth Harris
Some of the record from the cemetery were lost at one time, but I looked at the old hand written records which appear sporadic as some people I know who died were not listed. I found a Mrs. George Harris who died Sept 5, 1893 and a Mr. Harris who died Feb 24, 1939. In these records there are no indications if there were stones or not. Even the current (not so current--only up to 2008) records do not indicate if a stone. The FH Gen. Society did not have a photo of these people so they are probably in unmarked graves. There are a lot of those in the Americus cemetery. Hope this helps. Cheryl Henry

Mauzey Cemetery
I notice you added the photo of the Cemetery. Thanks for that.Is there any way to get photos of the actual headstones? My 5th great-grandfather is buried there, Peter Mauzey.
