Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in geneology for many years. My grandmother had started a family tree and that has helped me to get information on my family, especially on

I enjoy going out to the cemeteries and taking pictures and finding history along with some of those and also the different types of headstones.

When I go to the older cemeteries I try to take as many pictures as possible. If you see that I have one of your family member's I don't have a problem in transering them to you. Just make sure and let me know how you are related to them. I try to follow Find A Graves rules.

Sending me an email saying only: "my great-great grandfather, Thanks" will not get a transfer. I don't know if you are asking for a transfer or just thanking me for doing the memorial.

If I get requests for pictures and they are a distance from where I live and there is only a request for 1 person's picture. I will not make a special trip for that. If I am going in that direction, yes I will try to find the headstone for you.

I have had requests from people that live in the same town or live closer than I do. Please if you live closer than I do please don't ask for someone else to get your pictures unless you are in a wheel chair or some other type of handicap.

I allow use of my photo's "ONLY" if I am given credit for the use of them.

Best wishes in your family search!

Mary Clarkson Turek

Hi Mary,

I also go to cemeteries and take pics and add memorials, if none is already there. Is so important to researchers and family members, and just to record tombstones. So many are getting so hard to read.

I have come across double tombstones in 2 different cemeteries before, is called a Cenotaph.
(I didn't know there was such a thing till someone on Findagrave told me.)

I pulled up Jessie's death certificate, here:

Says Jessie is buried at Odd Fellows, as you said.
The only thing I had to go by was his tombstone at Oak Grove, because I didn't have his death certificate at that time. It is misspelled on the reference, so it didn't come up when I searched. Just now, I put in a search for fewer letters of his last name and found it.

Anyway, I will make a link to the one you made and state that he is actually buried there. If I delete mine, someone may come along later and make another memorial, so we will have the same thing again.

Thanks for contacting me. Makes you wonder what happened that he had 2 tombstones.

Thanks for all you do for Findagrave. Is a wonderful gift to future generations.

Thanks again,

Traci's Mom
Token you left for Traci Fields
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.

I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.

I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!

This is something I wrote for Traci:

It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.

As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.

I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"

Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
