RE: Billy Ray Talley Sr. I think there has been some confusion about the Longacre Cemetery and the Stevenson Community Cemetery since the Stevenson Community Cemetery was just across the street from the Longacre Cemetery and had no sign. I was told that even the funeral homes did not know the difference. However, the Stevenson Community Cemetery now has a sign so hopefully there won't be any more confusion. Billy Ray is definitely in the Stevenson Community Cemetery. I will be glad to transfer my memorial to you if you want it. He is my third cousin but I did not know him (unfortunately). Just let me know!
RE: John C. Hancock From looking on Find a Grave-from John C-it goes to Rosetta Darst Hancock-to her mother Elizabeth Bryan Darst to Mary Powers Bryan to Elizabeth Boone. Elizabeth is the daughter of Isreal Boone, Daniel's brother. I love chasing stories!
RE: John C. Hancock Hi Stormy-The detective in me led me to you! LOL. First I found the newspaper article in the Wyoming Newspaper project. His grave is unmarked and was not recorded in Find a grave. Then I searched for his parents in Find a grave and found your name. I looked at your profile and saw that Hancock was a family you were researching. The mention of Daniel Boone also caught my eye-my cousin has told me that she is related to Daniel Boone-it is a family story with no documentation. Would you have any suggestions for me in trying to find this information? Thanks so much-and I find comfort that John C. is once again connected with his family.
John C Hancock I was looking at Wyoming Newspaper Project and found the obituary for John C Hancock, and I added him. The grave appears to be unmarked-but hope it will make your records more complete-he is the son of R D and Mary-and the obit mentions his siblings and their locations in 1904. Enjoy!
RE: Find a Grave contributor Lin (#46798906) Stormy, I wish I could say yes; the only thing I can suggest is you use the edit feature on the memorial on which you have changes and make the change that way; if you have comments, there is a space at the bottom to make any comments. When the changes are made, you will receive a notice from Find A Grave. I hope this helps, otherwise, you might contact Find A Grave and ask for help from them. Thanks very much for all you do.
Please Disregard Requests Please disregard previous requests to transfer management. You are probably as closely related to this family as John. You are doing a great job. I don't think I could handle the job anyway. Cynthia Whitlock
