I have just recently begun tracking my ancestry. I am excited to see what I can uncover. I also recently began taking picture requests for my area. Loving that!|

Thanks so much for leaving a sunflower for my great grandma, Roxie Westall. It was very sweet of you. :)

|Susan I. Grills||Mary Brown Samonds|
I apologize in advance that my photo is just of the Samonds family plot marker. I located the plot, but no stone. It is possible she never had a marker. You will notice in the photo there is a sizable tree growing in the plot and there are lots of leaves and brush built up in the plot. I would have dug around in it to see if Mary has a flat marker there, but it is summer and I don't like snakes and spiders!! I will check again in the fall.
|Deb Poe||William and Elizabeth Highfill|
Hi:) My name is Debbie Hundley Poe. I noticed that you left flowers on the memorials for William and Elizabeth Highfill that are buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Atchison County. I was doing some research and I don't think that they are buried in Kansas. I think that they are buried in Indiana. I am pretty sure that they are buried in Highfill Chapel Cemetery in Crawford County in Indiana. There is a listing for them in that cemetery on find a grave. That would be possible since I did a photo request and their graves couldn't be found in Atchison County. I am probably going to delete the memorial for them in the Mount Pleasant in Atchison County. I just wanted to let you know. Are you related to the Highfills? I am related to the Highfills through the Hundleys. Thanks,
Debbie Hundley Poe

Tracey, thanks for the reply. I found Thomas' grave site. I hope we can keep in touch. I love doing ancestry research.
|Edward Farmer||RE: Farmers|
Hi Tracy,it is a pleasure to meet you. Yes that does help. My lineage is as follows:
ggg-grandfather Robert A. Farmer (1807-1889)
gg-grandfather William Farmer (1840-1890)
g-grandfather John Farmer (1858-1937)
grandfather Elbert Farmer (1893-1968)
All are buried at Beech Springs except my grandfather. He is buried a short distance away at Eastview.
Your gg-grandfather as well as the other children of Robert and Mahala are my 3rd great aunts/uncles.
If my calculations are correct, You and I are 3rd cousins once removed. I am always happy to meet new relatives no matter how distant.
Do you know if Thomas is buried in Beech Springs?
Hi, by any chance are you related to the Farmers at Beech Springs Cemetery in Bradley County TN?
They are my ancestors and I am wondering if we are connected?
|Clint Dunn||Sandra Williams|
Hi, I have transferred Sandra's memorial to your care as you have a relation with her and I do not. I much prefer to have families take care of memorials.
At the time I was at Whidbey there had not been a regular headstone placed on her grave. (I live in SE Idaho) I hope to maike it back out to Whidbey this coming summer and at that time I shall try to get to the cemetery and take mmore pictures of headstones and if their is a new one for Sandra I will take a pic of it for you. Also their is a couple living on the Island that is real good about taking pictures so you might request a photo. If someone adds the photo of a regular headstone let me know using the edit link and I will remove my photo of the temporary marker.
