Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy isn't really researching the dead but researching who set the roots for who you are today.

Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.

Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my father's trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.

Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.

Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

Added vs Managed
Ive had others transfer memorials to me to manage as they wished to do it, not because I asked. Now that I have them, I am happy to manage them as most are related somehow.

A Bit About Me
I have enjoyed genealogy since 2000. Like to add any cousins to my tree. Like to help people and take pictures of all stones in any cemetery. A lot of the time I am not related to the person's stones that I post but if in Nelson, Washington, Casey or Marion Counties of KY - my children are probably realted.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

PLEASE do not post a message below about linking, additions or transfers about a memorial I manage. Click the Edit tab on the memorial that you wish me to edit. Thank you :)

Buried but forgotten
It does not offend me. But if Find A Grave did not want those without a known burial place to have a Memorial they would have set it up they way they did. Also if you their rules they contradict themselves in this other areas. Like I say before what is someone else going to with my Aunt/Uncle or brother/sister ? But there are many people they following this rule as if it is the law of land. Me I will transfer most anybody with the exception of family and even some of those. But once you are dead you are dead and there is no info that shows where they were buried or no one is willing to release the info to find them a proper home they are still entitled to a memorial whether they have a Cemetery or not. Are you just not going to count them or recognize them ? So after the so call 30 days what are you to do take down the memorial because they are either no longer dead or accepted on this site because they have no cemetery ? This is Find A Grave and some are still searching for there's unfortunately. I have been doing genealogy for close to 30 years. No disrespect meant just valid questions ? Phil

Unknown but not forgetten
So these people become undead after thirty days ? These people deserve a Memorial just like the others. This is stupid rule just like the memorial transfer within four generations. What is someone going to do with my Aunt or Uncle ? Oh by the way what do they pay as a Find A Grave Police Officer ? Any memorial I have made except for family I will gladly transfer. Phil

Ruth Kelty
Iadded the picture of Ruth's grave stone to her memorial but I just wanted to let you know that her death date is not on the stone. I took the picture in 2012. Next time I go to St. Michael's I will confirm that it is still not on the stone.

George W. Pike
Since you are not related to George, would you consider transferring his memorial to me?

George W. Pike
Just wanted to let you know that his death month was May instead of March. Do you know anything about this man? He was my great uncle, but I never met him.
