My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband, Pete, and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes)&(Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.|
We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend. Guidelines (and that is all they are) and numbers mean nothing....families are what is important. If people asking for out of guideline transfers has caused a problem for you.....stop making memorials. Problem solved!!
Guidelines....not rules, not regulations, not laws....not even an eleventh commandment.
NOTE: - GUIDELINES ....definition of...
A guideline is a statement by which to determine a course of action. By definition, following a guideline is never mandatory. Guidelines are NOT binding.
Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

|Gary Roberts||Thank You|
Thank you for getting this picture for me. Thanks for being a Find-a-Grave Volunteer.
|Russ Ottens||John A. Keiter|
Dear Brenda & Pete,
Your memorial for John A. Keiter (61174588) says he was the son of Peter Jr. & Elizabeth. Our Enders database has him as the son of William M. and Lavina Frances Ebberly Keiter, and a sibling to Milton, Verna and Cora. Maybe we're wrong, but we have the exact same date of birth. Did you have a source for his parents?

Dear Brenda and Pete:
Thanks much for transferring the memorial for Ehrman Benjamin Shatto and his wife Dorothy Elizabeth Erb Shatto. I've worked on them and have them both linked up to their respective families.

Brenda and Pete:
Thanks much for transferring John Shatto's memorial to me. I have developed it further. Having management allows for easy future tweaking as new information becomes available. John is a bit of a sad case, by all indications a tough life but nevertheless worthy of a memorial that tells something of his life.
Thanks for the offer to transfer other memorials. I've gone onto your profile and have found two other Shatto memorials I would appreciate managing and developing. I'll be putting in transfer requests separately.
And thanks so much for your work creating memorials and getting marker photos posted.
Best, Barry # 47110636

Thank you for the pictures and adding Thelma's Find A Grave memorial.
Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting Arlene's photo. Of course, I wish people wouldn't post memorials for people are living. I find it the most annoying thing about Findagrave. People who complain about not following the rules, seem to break this one a lot.
Nevertheless, I have in my possession 4 books on my family history/genealogy one through each of my 4 grandparents, and in this process discovered another book that left off with one of my great-great grandmothers. So I try to update Findagrave, and make connections, and learn a lot more through the whole process.
Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph this headstone for me. Much appreciated :)

Thanks for updating Mildred I Espenshade Basore's memorial.
I do not know whether Arlene M. Bupp Updegraff is still alive or not. Why don't you go ahead and post her photo anyways.
