I have been fascinated by cemeteries since I was a kid. I grew up near the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hannibal - the one most people agree that Mark Twain used as a model for Tom Sawyer. That led me to other places. Over the years, I've explored a lot of cemeteries.|
Then, a few years ago, my mother got interested in geneology in a big way. She loved to research, and amassed a database of well-over 100,000 names. I'm now sorting through that database, and I've decided to help others in the same way.
So here I am, splitting my time between my own research, and documenting cemeteries in the area for other peoples' research. Let me know where you're looking, and I'll do my best to help. Feel free to use my images for your own geneology work - that includes using the images for Ancestry or Family Tree Maker. Please remember to give proper credit if you do any publishing. I prefer to be listed as Michael Mann, Quincy, IL

Wanted to thank you for finding the stone that marks their graves.

As always, thanks for so many great pictures. My family originated in the Jonesboro and Quincy areas. I was wondering if the Woodland cemetery has an on line listing of burials? I have a number of relatives I would love to check if they are buried there. Thanks again for your help !!

Thank you for taking and uploading the photo of this child's grave. Volunteers like you are the backbone of findagrave, and I really appreciate you time and efforts.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for putting up the tombstone photo for Jerome N. Sheller. I knew where his wife was buried in Medina, Ohio... but think she died in The Jacksonville State Hospital, Illinois, 26 Feb 1916. There is an obit for her in the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center in Ohio..... now I wait for the answer from them ....& hope to get an obit for Jerome from Quincy, Adams County, Illinois library.
