|I just like cemeteries and leaving flowers. Thanks are not necessary. If you would like me to remove my token from your memorial, you have only to ask. If you're in my friends list, you probably have a virtual cemetery I want to wander. I came here to find Rhonda Lou Jones, buried in Britt IA. She is one of the memorials in my virtual cemetery "missed." The first person entered in "missed" was Mary Helen Swope, whom I was dismayed to find here. Tiny cemetery with fewer than 100 people? I'm there! Cemetery in an odd place (traffic circle, parking lot, median strip)? Love it! Abandoned/neglected cemetery with headstones centuries out of date? Cool! Cemetery I would most like to participate in clean-up and restoration: Old Trinity Cemetery, in the awesomely-named Bone Gap, Edwards County, IL. I visit it on environmentalgraffiti.com. They wrote an article about it: "Nature Reclaims an Abandoned and Forgotten Cemetery," in 2010. Cemetery I most want to see in person: Saint Francis Assisi Cemetery in Brainerd, MN. It's located in Crow Wing State Park--how cool is that? I learned of its existence via Amy C. Rea's blog entry for May 9, 2012. http://knitthink.typepad.com/flyoverland/2012/05/5-weeks-5-parks-5-ks.html. Most disturbing cemetery pictures: with CemeteryTraveler's article "The Watery Remains of Monument Cemetery." Cemetery I want to see before it disappears completely: Orphans' Home Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas. How I want my remains disposed of: Take my ashes and those of my beloved pet, put us in a Bios Urn, and plant us on the site of my childhood home. Add violet & viola seeds. Put up a field stone (we have enough of them around), engraving optional. Let the Bios Urn tree, as it grows, engulf the stone. Carving tree trunk optional. Never dig me up again.|

I really don't know if his name was Horry or Harry. There is a Horry County in South Carolina, and as geographical names were popular with earlier generations, it could really be Horry rather than Harry. It was written as Ho.

I'm glad it worked out. My husband thought it was strange that the groundskeepers wouldn't have gotten rid of the tree when it started to encroach on the site.

Hi, Friend -
Thank You for the update on Mr. Brown; I also noted the girl left behind, and it about broke my heart. =( I will keep his name highlighted for a few more days, and I think that we are picking up the two sponsorships within the next few days. Those hearts do help, I can't believe the difference in visits for a name sponsored versus a name that isn't...gosh, I wish I were rich, and this entire site would look like a Valentine's card. =) Take Care and stay in touch - Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue

I have no idea which is correct. Hesie or Hosie on her headstone. I would believe it's the headstone. if you find out different I will correct it or I can transfer Hesie Coneal to you. Let me know.

Thanks for the catch. I must have looked at the wrong name when I typed it. It has been changed.

Hi, Yes, I discovered that with some of our more common family names, such as Charlie Taylor, punching in his name and wartime death info brought up numerous other Charlie Taylors, killed in different wars...and so very sobering, indeed. I have also learned so much about the civilian death of different wars since beginning to track family and friends on this site; I had grown up hearing that during a specific bombing program that we lost family here or there, but I had no idea to what degree until I began putting pages up for them. Entire generations wiped out simply because they lived on what would become known as No Chance Lane - the bombers came in during the night when people were sound asleep, and killed anybody there. =( War is futile, and yet it seems to be an accepted fact of life...I always say that I will forever support our men and women brave enough to put on a uniform and defend my son and myself...but sometimes I wonder why things cannot be different. At any rate, I just highlighted Kenneth Brown for you, and I hope that it will bring him many well deserved visits and tokens. Take Care and have a good week - Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue

Hi - Thank You so much for the name of this young woman; I will have her highlighted before I'm done this evening...hope that all is well for you and yours and that tomorrow will be a nice day; Gannon and I are going to spend it watching movies and thinking about how very lucky we are, pretty much on a daily basis. =) Take Care and stay in touch - Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue

Yes, my first grandson. Thank you so much. What a consideration and a task you will be undertaking with the twins of the U.S. Population.
I am going on a walking tour of the historical Oakland Cemetery in Dallas, TX soon. About to begin flowering the graves there. Wonder if I will find any twins...
Have a super weekend!
