Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband, Pete, and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes)&(Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.

We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend. Guidelines (and that is all they are) and numbers mean nothing....families are what is important. If people asking for out of guideline transfers has caused a problem for you.....stop making memorials. Problem solved!!

Guidelines....not rules, not regulations, not laws....not even an eleventh commandment.

NOTE: - GUIDELINES ....definition of...

A guideline is a statement by which to determine a course of action. By definition, following a guideline is never mandatory. Guidelines are NOT binding.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Dodge Memorials in Riverview, Northumberland
Dear Brenda and Pete:

Thanks so very much for the edits to the three Dodge memorial in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland, Pa. Very much appreciated.

Now three of the four children of Charles Hine and Dora Belle Jacoby Dodge are linked up to their parent. Would dearly love to find the 4th child, Florence Charlotte, who husband Harry Irvin Shatto is buried in the same cemetery.

It's been a pleasure and thanks again.

Scranton Cemetery
Hi, I'm trying to locate Scranton Cemetery. You created entries for Alice and Kathy Larneard and associated them with this cemetery. According to the map info, it's in Dalton, PA. However, at that location is actually Dalton Jewish Cemetery. I've not yet found any indication that there's a separate Scranton Cemetery in the same spot (Shoemaker Cemetery is across the road). Do you happen to have direct knowledge of Scranton Cemetery? Thanks for any help.

Carrie Landis photo
My wife has gotten me interested in helping her take photos and this morning I claimed a request for Carrie Landis and her family. I noticed that there was already a photo of Carrie's stone on her memorial page so I went and took the requested photo of the family plot and posted it and explained who each stone belonged to. Oops! I then noticed that you had already jumped into the family by helping the lady from North Carolina and had posted the family plot on other memorial pages. Sorry if we overlapped a bit. My wife hasn't taken many photos lately because of weather but we do take a lot at the Gap. We will leave the Gravel Hill requests to you so we can all enjoy helping others. We started taking some at Gravel Hill because we moved across the road. Enjoy the soon to be nice weather.
