Doing family researching since 1965, off and on. I have just added to findagrave records of the Friar family in Yorktown TX, kindly originated by Mary Beth Ross. And added new graves for the Wayman Family in Pike City, Sierra Co. CA
My family: FRIAR, STRIBLING, O'CONNELL, DOUGHERTY
My husband, Carl Spiess' Family: LOW, WAYMAN, RANEY, SPIESS
No, I didn't canvas the entire cemetery. Sometimes I just run across a cemetery and take a few pictures since I'm never sure if it has already been done.
With the help of my husband we've done 2 or 3 entire small cemeteries. We've also taken quite a few random photos in large cemeteries.
I started doing this as a "pay it forward" in memory of a very dear soul in Illinois that took pictures of my family's burial sites for me out of the kindness of her heart.
I live on the gulf coast of Texas near Corpus Christi. We used to drive up to Austin on a regular basis to visit our daughter and this is how we ran across the Upper Yorktown Cemetery. If there is anything that I could help you with in the same area, let me know.
There really is nothing you have to do. I will go ahead and make the changes that you requested. I will change the memorials to you. That way if any other relatives are researching these family of yours through Find A Grave they can contact you to compare research. It is a great tool for working on your family tree.
Friars in Upper Yorktown I have 3 memorials for Friar in the Upper Yorktown Cemetery in Yorktown, Tx. I would be glad to transfer these memorials to your care. I am not related and would be glad that they are with family.
