I have been pursuing genealogy for about fifty years researching numerous lines in Texas and all other southern states. My Smith family was located in Stephen F. Austin's 2nd colony and 4th colony. My Dyches/Dykes/Dikes line was located in Zavalla's colony. |
If you find any mistakes, please advise and I will correct ASAP.
I've added certain memorials that I accidently took pictures of that are not my family or connection. If you find one, I would be more than happy to transfer them to you. Let me know. If I have added directs for you, I would be happy to transfer them no matter what generation if they are not directs for me.
The obits that I have been sending out are gems found in the old newspapers. Hope they add some background. Any picture that I have added to any memorial, you are welcome to copy.
Researching Whitmire, Dyches, Fish, Bennett, Smith, McWhorter, McClure, Ballew, Stribling, Farr, McGinty, Bowles.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD FAMILY PHOTOS, GRAVE PHOTOS, CEMETERY FHOTOS TO MY MEMORIALS BUT PLEASE do not ADD PICTURES OF DEATH RECORDS, WAR RECORDS OR OTHER RELATED GOVERNMENTAL RECORDS TO THE MEMORIALS. THIS INFORMATION BELONGS IN THE BIO SECTION.

You sent me msgs about the Cox names in Old Union Cemetery, Limestone Co, TX (I have updated some of them) ... do you have a source for the other possible marriage of Wm. Cox to the Eliz. "Rhodes" person you mentioned?? The names are so common its difficult to know IF one is following the correct family or not.
Also, do you have something to show Jefferson D. Cox was in fact not the s/o Sarah? Per 1870 census, he was only about age 9, so it "looks" like she could have been his mother.
Any further (documented) data is appreciated! I am swamped with edits right now and have little time to devote to indepth research....although I try to give each name all the time I can sometimes its just not enough, therefore I depend on good patrons like you to share their knowledge, if they will. Further (documented) info is always appreciated! Thanks!

|Billie Bournias||Gertrude Screws|
Gertrude Screws memorial #58641119 and you will see that I have sent you a previous request for information...as to her daughter Mrs. Ruby Wages and her sister, Stella Robbins, as listed on your page. You responded that you had been out of the country and have waited more than the two weeks requested to hear from you. So still wondering where you got the documentation that Mrs. Ruby Wages was the daughter and would HOPE you had gotten from an obit. Mrs. Ruby Wages did sign as informant on the DC but it doesn't state she was daughter. And having great difficulty finding proof that she was daughter for DAR application and this is all I am needing for my final proof. Help if you can!

Hi Patty. Hope your world is doing well. I have a transcript of the Bible of Thomas Hall and Arminta Eubanks. Would you like to post it on their facebook page?
If so, I'll send it to you. Jane Debenport

Hi, how are you? It appears that Nancy McCloud is my 4th Great-Grandmother!

Is this cemetery the same as the Weber-Haile Cemetery? I noticed that Haile family members are buried in both. Here is a link to the Weber-Haile Cemetery.

Your memorial #58641119 for Mrs. Gertrude Screws shows information that she was mother of Mrs. Ruby Wages and sister of Stella Robbins. Was wondering where you got the information. I'm helping a lady with her genealogy for an application in DAR and needing to find contacts that might further this along. I did find Gertrude's death certificate and does say Mrs. Ruby Wages was informant but doesn't say she was the daughter....but think she was. Hoping you might be of help with this information and your posting.
|Janet Barrett Hobizal||Lillie and Mack Moore|
I am looking for the parents of a childs grave in Wharton County and I think your Lillie and Mack may be them. Her name is Maidie Mae Moore daughter of Ellen and Mack b.07.Jun 1903 d.08 Jul 1906. It is a beautiful marker I can send you a photo of it. She is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in El Campo.
I am not related, I am a Wharton County Researcher and am trying to match all the death certificates with WC cemeteries to find unmarked graves for other researchers. You can e-mail me at CHenry8604@aol.com
