I love genealogy. I am researching Sherwood, Brentlinger, Sykes, Hendryx/Hendricks in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee. I hope I haven't offended anyone by flowers that I have put on graves. I think it is nice to add flowers to graves and especially those that have never gotten any flowers.
Thanks so much to everyone for the flowers, notes and tokens left for my aunt, Martha Ann Wells,(Oklahoma) my mama,Sadie Stumpf,step-father John(California)and grandparents Melissa Mae & James E. Sherwood (Oklahoma). Your kindness and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
^^^^William R. Sherwood is the oldest child of James and Melissa (Hendryx) Sherwood.^^^^
***I do not know at this time if the Brentlingers, the ones without sponsors, that have been transferred to me are ancestors of mine or not. I just agreed to take them because it is my Father's surname and I do have ancestors from Indiana.***
~~~~~~A very warm thank you to all of you who visit my loved ones and leave flowers, tokens and/or notes. I appreciate it so very much~~~~~~
Hello Carolyn Thank you for leaving the birthday token for my Mom and the lovely words. You know our Moms Angel Days and Birthdays are somewhat similar. Blessings to you and your loved ones always. Michele
Robert Sherwood I am the granddaughter of the Robert Sherwood in Pennsylvania on whose grave you left flowers. I'm interested in the story that brought him from Arkansas to Pennsylvania along with (I believe) his father (also Robert?).
~~MERRY CHRITMAS~~ HI Hazel Eyes - wishing you and hubby and family a Blessed Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you for being a special friend and always remembering my daughter, family, and pals - you're so sweet. Wishing the best that can be for you in 2016 - God Bless
RE: Nov. 11th Post When I clicked on my Nov. 11th post it was empty. I finally found it, but Find A Grave had deleted all my 50+ memorials (Apr 25, Jul 11, Nov 11, plus the singles) with stone pictures and did a combined memorial: Otis Memorial Vandenburg Dr. Bourne Barnstable County Massachusetts USA
I had linked to each gentleman on their "cemetery" page (where found), but those that don't have "cemetery" pages, Find A Grave just chose to delete; I don't know why. Oh well, Find A Grave is their project and they can run it however they choose.
Thanks for letting me know that you are having problems with Find A Grave too. I can't deal long with having to sign in each time I try to post. It it taking me MUCH too long to get through what should only be a couple of hours worth. Ugh!
Brentlinger Family Hi Carolyn - thank you for leaving flowers on the pages for my Brentlinger family members. That is very sweet. If you have Brentlinger roots perhaps we are related? I have a book that traces the Brentlinger family all the way back to Germany in the 1600s. If you haven't seen that book, it might be helpful to figure out if/how we are related. - Diana
