Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a reunited adult adoptee and my birth name was Anne Marie Weatherwax. I have been a professional writer for more than 50 years and a graphic artist since 1976. I am also one of the most involved Weatherwax family researchers in the United States. (The family just celebrated the tricentennial of its immigrant ancestor's arrival in 2010.) I have also extensive genealogical records for both the ancestors and descendants of Michael and Cornelia (VanNess) VanDerCook of NJ and NY. Additional families that I am researching include Francisco, Delamater, Vickery, Blood, Nichols, Kent and Hotovy.

RE: Beidler graves
You're very welcome for the photos... it was a beautiful day in the cemetery! After checking your bio, I have a question for you. I noticed that one of the names that you research is Nichols. I realize that it is not an unusual name, but I'll throw this out anyway -- a friend of mine is trying to locate a Minnie Nichols who was an orphan train child. Minnie and a brother from a NY orphanage were sent west on an orphan train, winding up in central Illinois. They were not true orphans, as their parents were still alive and living in NYC with another daughter. Without getting into too much detail here, does any of this ring any bells on your family tree?

Asa Curtis
Hello Lynnsdaughter, Thank you for your contributions. Laura L. Curtis Foster (daughter of Asa Curtis and Hannah) is my GGgrandmother. I see in my family tree I have Asa and Hannah's information incorrect. Would it be possible to correspond and compare notes so I can update with the correct information? I look forward to your reply. Lynne

Do you have any other information on her or her husband John? Maybe a photo of the grave?

HI, ok that makes sense now. The twp burial records only show the number, not that it's days or yrs

I believe there are 2 memorials for him 36386316 & 40624944. Is there a way they can be merged?

RE: The Johnsons...closer than you know!
Hi,
That is very interesting information! Thank you for sharing it! I have put the information I have written about Cranberry on my Grandma Miller's Memorial page. She knew him very well, being about 20 when he died. Just click on Nellie Elizabeth (Johnson)Miller's name on Roe Johnson's Memorial page if you would like to read about Cranberry. He is something of a controversial figure in our family (I discuss this). For starters, we have good reason to believe that he was born in 1806, not 1811 as is given on his stone at Morrison, making him 104 years, 7 months old when he died He was very cagey about his age, seeing that his second wife, Cornelia Westfall (Spooner), was a great deal younger than he was. He is an authentic pioneer of Fabius Twp. His obituary said that he was still walking into Corey until three days before he died! Do read what I have written about him!

RE: The Johnsons
Hi, Again,
No - we are not related in any way that I know about to the Curtis family, but at Morrison we have other relatives: my great-great-grandparents, William Wallace "Cranberry"Johnson and wife Cornelia Westfall (Spooner) Johnson - and Christian W. Smith and wife Johannette (Kramb) Smith - and others related to them. The Johnson family has taken care of Morrison Cemetery for many years - first William Adelbert Johnson, my Grandma Miller's brother, and then (and presently) by Will's grandson, Gerald Johnson. Just recently I have become better organized in regard to this part of my family. Many members, particularly the Krambs (Johannette's family), are buried at Riverside in Three Rivers. Rebecca Drumm, who works very actively at that cemetery, has done a remarkable job there and we have been working together. I like to add as much information everywhere I can for others to use. That way we can advance our family histories rather than continue to plow the same ground repeatedly!!
