Bio and Links
Bio Photo Click on the Family Tree to make it bigger. I enjoy this site and see it gaining in popularity. If your related to any of these people check out the family groups in the virtaul cemeteries and it may help you in your genealogy or just fill in some loose ends. __________________________________________________ Family history is very important to me and I try as hard as I can to make sure it is right. I spent years fixing my family on Ancestry because people just record things they know nothing about and someday I hope Ancestry will fix this. I have many, many hours in research and have made thousands of links on Find A Grave. I love what I do and never made a dime doing it. I love family.

Mary E. Starr Pearson
Hi Dan,

Mary is my great, great paternal grandmother. I actually own the original of the picture posted on her site (& the one of her husband, Tom Usery Pearson. How exciting to see her picture posted for family to see. Everyone who visits my house gets to hear the story about "Maw" and "Old Man Tom". My paternal grandfather used to tell stories about when he was a little boy, "Maw" would take him fishing to the stock tank and teach him his numbers by playing dominoes on the bank of the tank. My grandpa always told me that "Maw" was 1/2 Native American. I've been trying to research to find out if it is true. I wondered if you might know…?

Your "cousin",

Breton (Britton) Cooke Smith
You and I have the same great-great grandparents. Joseph Smith and Lucy Ann Reynolds.
My mother is Bertha Eleanor Smith, daughter of Alvah Hervey Smith, who was the son of George Harrison Smith, brother of Clark Woodward Smith.
I have copies of military records of Britton Cooke Smith who my mother called "Uncle Cooke". He signed his name as Breton but on the stone it is Britton. I am 99 percent sure that this is the same person.
Do you have any knowledge of the multiple spellings?
I have pistols that he took to the Civil War and a box he made to hold them. He was a skilled woodworker and made tables that were beautiful.
Thanks for the information.

Hello Dan,

Isabel Rae McCune's mother, Lydia Estelle Heskett McCune, was the sister of my great grandmother Nellie Tamer Heskett West.
