Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am now a ninety one year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and recently a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society.

Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.

One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.

Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.

Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

Bio for Newton Kitira "Curtis" Henson
Hey Audrey, I have been researching the Henry Henson/Hester Walker family, and find their son Newton Curtis Henson bio that you wrote has some information that should be double checked. Another member had listed the mother of Newton and his siblings as Margaret Hesteranne "Hester" Fain. There is no documentation for that name, and all other documents point to Hester Walker Henson as their mother. Just thought you would like to know.
Thanks for all your good work.

Thank you so much for the info on Josephine. Do you have any info on her son, Chester Knott? I haven't been able to find much of anything. I am not related. He lived in Colton and my family is there.

Hi Audrey,
Perhaps when you phone the 1-800-204-3131 number for Forest Lawn Glendale you will be able to get a plot location to add to the memorial.

All the best,
Susan Barbara
