I am just here, making a small footprint, creating memorials and photographing burial sites.
Anyone is welcomed to use my grave-site/marker photos on other websites (ie, Ancestry) but, I respectfully request credit be given.
My family line is: Smith of IN; Klein of LA; Carpenter of LA; Van Auken of IN; Van Wormer of NY (etc); which we all know....leads to many others :)
My sister is a member, Belinda Ryle, and is aiding me by separating my family from the memorials I create. Though I continue to do the majority of their management.
I will not transfer family members or close friends, unless it is a mandatory. I am not a stickler to the Transfer guidelines; having been granted OOG transfers with much appreciation. However, please do explain why you would like a particular transfer if requesting one.
Thank you very much,
Charlotte Smith Muir

I would love to go to the cemetery whenever you do. Weekends would be better. Just let me know.

Mark Blasingame has a blog about this cemetery and he suggested I contact the Sheriff's Department since my husband's relatives are buried there and access should be legally given. This I did and the deputy sheriff said it would be fine to go and gave me the name of Charles Bowering, a local historian that the local library should have been able to have given you. He knew exactly where it was and had videotaped the markers in 1996. Anyway, Mark went with my husband and I and Charles showed us where it was. We spent a good long day photographing all the markers we could find. About 4-5 we had to uncovered from the dirt and leaves and found only because the footstones indicated a larger marker was probably laying down nearby. If you read Mark's blog under "Grave Affair" you can read about our day. Also, how to get there and a map are on the Findagrave page for the cemetery.
We live in SC. and are now home, but Mark might be willing to go with you, as he enjoyed our company.

The cemetery that we thought was inaccessible (Goodloe) in Madison (the one that you inquired about last year) is apparently accessible after all. Check out these 2 markers: James F. Goodloe # 131040341 and James F. Goodloe # 131040361 (not the same person). Click on the marker photo and look at the date of the photo.
Let me know what you think.

hello: I have searched the cemetery records for my aunt, Ruth M. Derrick age 91 who died 12-8-2003 and buried in Floral Hills Memory Gardens on 12-9-2003 along side her daughter Joyce Ruth Harmon and grandson Jerome Harmon. I have searched every way I know how and unable to find record of her buried there. I have the small newspaper clipping that stated that is where she is buried. Can you help me locate the grave.
Thank you, Vivian Runnels

Hi, there were some uploaded by another person with the dirt and mud on some of them, I discussed this with the person about uploading claimed photos, especially when I like to trim the grass and clean them up for my photos :--) If you have duplicates you can ask him to remove the dirty ones :--) I am glad you like them :--) Lisa

I went to Willamette yesterday and the marker was entirely covered with dried mud. I spent about 30 minutes cleaning mud out of the lettering and washing off the mud. I camp home to post picture and see that someone else has now claimed the request. I can e-mail you the before and after if you would like.

Before I can link Louis with Goldie, I will need her Find A Grave memorial number. Thanks.
|Mary Agnes Hammett||RE: Re: Thomas Carpenter request, Roselawn, Baton Rouge, LA|
I was able to get a few better photos on your Carpenter and Latil relatives in Roselawn. I'm still trying on Sterling and Teddy Latil. They will need some more drying and scraping to get anything better.
