One day we will all be...
'just a name' etched in stone.

Message rec'd:

Find A Grave contributor Fran Paysour has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Viola Paysour.

Their suggestion:
I am very offended by the lack of consideration for my grandparents and their contributions. Your general "memorial" could never do justice to who they were and the impact they had on people who loved them beyond anything you could ever imagine. A picture of a grave site has nothing to do with what they did in life and although you could learn more about them in their obituary, this "memorial" lacks any of the information provided there. I hope you have refrained from being a "grave photographer" and will consider the feelings of the family members when posting these types of things.

You are absolutely right, Fran!
My general "memorial" could never do justice to who your grandparents were in life, and the impact they had on people who loved them beyond anything that I could ever imagine. (I had wonderful grandparents, too, by the way)

I don't think you realize that photographing a gravestone, can mean that anyone that loved them, can "visit" and leave a flower, even if they are, say, in the military and stationed thousands of miles away. I have photographed MANY graves and will continue to do so for as long as I am able bodied. I have received hundreds of sincere 'THANK YOU's' from people that my memorials have assisted, in finding the final resting places of ones that they loved.

My beloved brother is missing. I PRAY that someday he will be found. Maybe someone will photograph his marker in some undocumented cemetery and I will finally find him. But chances are that he will Never have a marker. I will never give up hope. As for my purpose in making "general Memorials", that don't do justice to the life of the soul that lies beneath the marker, it is to help loved ones find their family. It's a service of LOVE.

You are new to Findagrave and I understand that you don't really fathom what this is all about..I get that.

But don't go flying off the bat and start demeaning what is going on here, until you get all the facts straight! This is a wonderful site. With wonderful, caring GRAVE PHOTOGRAPHERS. And as for your grandparent's memorial..I made it so that one day a loved one, (you) would come and find it.

You're Welcome!

The search for my family brought me to Find A Grave, a wonderful resource. Along the way, I try to photograph and post just about all souls that I encounter along my search, to honor their memory. ♥ Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Everyone deserves to be remembered~
Everyone deserves at least one flower~

Please take a moment and visit my special angels,
Steve Lewis Arrowood's Memorial and Scott Miller's Memorial and leave a flower, if you like.
Thank you so much. ;0)
Be grateful for who you are.
Be grateful for who you are to become.
Be grateful for the boulders placed upon your path.
For they are not obstacles but stepping stones on your journey of self-realization.
