Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research since 2003. My profile picture is my grandfather Charles Rieve and his father Charles Rieve. I enjoy going through old cemeteries and newer ones. I have been mainly researching Bennington County, Vermont but do research other areas also. I have some kind of relation to many memorials that I have submitted.
If you want a memorial transferred to you please use FAG guidelines and the edit link on the far top right of the memorial, that is the only way I will do transfers, direct emails and messages will not be done. INCLUDE YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND YOUR MEMBER NUMBER. Just saying family is not sufficient - many of the memorials I have done are in my "family" also, I need a specific relationship or the transfer will not be done. If you have corrections please use the edit link on the far right of the memorial, with the new edit system, you can't tell me the source of your information. I will be verifying the information you send - I do not use ages on headstones to calculate birth dates, they can and have been incorrect on many occasions. If I can't find a valid record to verify your birthdate edits they will not be done. I verify all corrections before doing them. If you use my pictures on your family tree on Ancestry.oom or another service please state where you got the picture.
I am extensively researching the Hitchcock and Rudd families from Connecticut, Massachusetts & Vermont.

Cecilia Crawford
abbie Morgan crawford
she is my great great grandmother. Abbie had a son by the name of Arthur randall Crawford. In the early 1900's in Bennington he was with the John Vogels Minstrels. He did black face comedy and played an instrument. But also left my great grandmother Jules Crawford to raise my grandpa on her own. Jules and , "my pop" lived with abbie on Silver street for some time and then moved to Stillwater, Ny to be raised by his mom's family and her. My cousin has a pic of abbie. I have a pic of abbie in her younger days and a pic of Arthur Randall with his brother Eugene Crawford whom is Harold's father. I'll try to share them.

RE: Harold Crawford
Sorry, I am a novice and also am busy, so am trying to figure it all out in my spare time. thank you. It says on Abbie's death certificate, entombment. Does that mean she wasn't buried?

Harold Crawford
If you are listing a pic of his name on a tombstone, is he not buried here? It says at the bottom of the obit, burial: unknown. strange. He is the son of Eugene Crawford who is my great-grandfather's brother. My great grandfather was Arthur Randall Crawford. Also, for Eugene's parents are clearly listed in the obit. but are not listed above as parents. also strange.

Lucy L. (Baker) Woods
Nancy,
Will you tell me where you found Lucy's death date? Is it on her gravestone? The reason I ask is the image of her death certificate on ancestry.com is difficult to read, but it looks like the year was 1965. Any help you can provide will be most appreciated.

Hi Nancy

Regarding Claude Apfelbeck and where he is buried. He is buried in Colby, Wisconsin. I am his niece and I was at his burial service where they laid him to rest. His wife Hazel is buried in Vermont, her home town. Claude and Hazel had two children. Neither of them have put a marker where he is laid to rest. I am not sure why his infromation is on Hazel's stone.

St Mary's Montgomery NY Entry
Nancy,
You entered Memorial #107016125 Sadie Morin Millard 1912-1997 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Montgomery,Orange County, New York. We completed a walk through of that cemetery recently and although her spouse Rodger Millard has a stone there, we could not find one for Sadie. Could she have been buried elsewhere? Thank You

Lyman, Margaret and William Rudd, Rupert Street Cemetery
Nancy,
Thanks for the suggestion regarding these memorials. I've attempted to contact the creator of the other memorials, but haven't had a response yet.
To answer your question about my ancestry, I've added a bio to my profile.
Hope your holidays were happy ones!

Hi Nancy - Thank you for the verification for the dates of birth. I have come across situations like that quite often and I go by SSDI also even though I have seen them wrong on occasion! Have a Great Day! Cindy
