I became interested in tracing my family roots around Thanksgiving, 2004, when I found a handwritten family history (authored by my maternal grandmother) in my parents attic. I've been hooked ever since. My wife (Heidi) has since also become an addict. We are both related to early settlers of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
42650975 Memorial...Silas Johnson. Hello, Jeff. I tried to send you an email, but, didn't think my email was going to get to you at your msn email address, so, I will send you the link for Silas's Birth Certificate from N.H. Vital Records, here. This Birth Certificate indicates that Moses Johnson, Born Oct. 1738, Holliston, MA, is Silas's father, not Moses's brother, Simeon. Both Moses & Simeon had wives named Elizabeth. Silas's mother, Elizabeth (also on his Birth Certificate), is Elizabeth "Unknown". There is no proof of her maiden name on record. Here is the link, https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XFVG-64N Thank you for Silas's Memorial. I am a relation to Silas and family, through Silas's son, Willard. I hope this information will help clarify who Silas's true father is - Moses Johnson, born Oct. 1738, Holliston, MA. Moses, also, died in Vermont, as did Silas. Best Regards, Jocelyn
St Micheals Cemetery records Jeff Are Sentinel Butte Cemetery and St Michael's cemetery next to each other? All the Teshers you entered are duplicated in Sentinel Butte Cemetery.I would like to confirm which is right. I will contact the church to verify. unless you have the correct information already.
Memorial #83531885 The Find A Grave section under FAQ, Membership/Signing In, “What is a photo request?” mentions: “Many cemetery offices will only provide that information (exact grave location to photograph a possible marker) to relatives of the deceased and will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave location.”
There’s a reason more than 50 requests have not been realized for Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay, WI. I suggest you contact the office manager, Mary Lemirande, at (920) 432-6077 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn the exact location of Chas. Wheelock #83531885, especially which Park (section) and names of individuals buried on each side (N,S,E,W) of your individual. Then, go back to your “Request A Photo” and add those “notes” so a photo volunteer can at least take a photo of the grassy plot if no marker is present. The cemetery does not usually have a record if or when a marker was placed at a grave site. Without the specifics, the only other suggestion I have is to remove your request. Thank you!
Cemetery records indicate Charles is resting in Park (section) "C". Did not find a marker with that first name (and d. 1930) but found two deteriorating WHEELOCK stones. One is for a Charles d. Dec 20, 1897 and the other for Maria Jane d. May 6, 1912. Just guessing at the numerals though. Will do one more walk-through of this large section but do the above sound familiar?
47812031 - C W BOWEN Hi Jeff - I came across an interesting obit for C W Bowen in the Yale Bulletin (1936) while doing other research. It's posted on his memorial page - in case you haven't seen it before. Thought it might be of interest to you - as I saw you listed on the memorial page.
