Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi all. I've had an interest in family history since I was very young. Following my grandfather's death in 1994, my aunt gave me some of his old records, including a baptismal certificate that was written in Polish. It was then that I began doing some serious research into my Borowski, Schorer, De Lille, and Day family lines. I feel very strongly about remembering and paying tribute to those who have gone before.

Please take a moment to visit my darling mother:

Marie Constance De Lille Burke

My beloved brother:

Richard Michael "Rick" Burke

My grandparents:

Henry De Lille
Elise "Elsie" Day De Lille
John Anthony Borowski
Mildred Mary Schorer Borowski Bowen,

A sincere thank you goes out to all the kind souls who leave flowers and messages on the memorials I've posted here, and also to the many wonderful people who are so willing to voluntarily post photos of my loved ones' headstones. It truly means more than I could ever say.

Osti
Please tell me about the name Osti you have here. There is one listed as Amabile Amalia Osti, but where does the name Amabile come from? I only see her listed elsewhere as Amalia. Thank you.

Hello, Hello,
Through my research, I ran across your name on my family pages in Find A Grave. I was wondering if you are related and/or where you found information about them. I just discovered my grandparents, along with a great grandmother, aunts and uncles. I am a volunteer photographer for Find A Grave, so you can image what a wonderful discovery it was as I was looking for others. Looking forward to hearing from you. Jhere

Pfc Maurice J. Waibel
Pfc Maurice J. Waibel was severely wounded in action in Sicily and was evacuated back to Tunisia where he died of his sustained wounds. He died on 3 August 1943.
Private First Class Waibel was buried in the temporary American II Corps Cemetery in Mateur, Tunisia in grave B-10-96.

After the war his remains were repatriated and buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.

Do you know the unit/battalion/ he belonged to, do you have a picture of his grave

thank you
