Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've lived on a farm/ranch in northeast Colorado for 49 years. Before that, I was a city girl. My husband and I have three grown children and 7 grandchildren. I retired in 2007, and now spend every spare moment doing genealogy research online. Most of my ancestors were in VA, MO, NC, and PA. I am a member of DAR, always looking for Johnson, Kivett, Pyrtle, Stone, Spencer, Shelton, Gessley, McCart, McGinnis,Donovan, and Hunter surnames.

Hi Patty,
Hope you are having a great day. The photos that you took of the DeyErmand family are so clear and easy to read. May I have your permission to use them in my family genealogy records? Thank you for sharing the photos on Find A Grave, Margaret

RE: Brennan's in Sidney, Nebraska
Hi Patty,

You'll never guess what! Jim Copley from Findagrave was at the Greenwood Cemetery this afternoon and found the graves of John and Irene Brennan. They both have monuments and he took some nice photos of them. Isn't that funny both of you going there just a few days apart? And strange the way graves will hide from you, and not be at all where they're supposed to be :-)

Thanks again for your effort!

Sean

RE: Merelta Learned
Patty, I posted the photos for Merelta Learned.

I like the new directory at Greenwood Cemetery. Unfortunately it was out of operation for a couple of months after the first of the year. I'm finding all blocks at Greenwood are not numbered consistently, but the maps with lot numbers do help quite a bit.

Regards,

Jim Copley

Merelta Learned
Patty, I saw your problem report for the Merelta Learned monument. I found the marker at Block 14, lot 25 and took a couple of pictures. Would you like me to post them?

Regards,
Jim Copley

RE: Brennan's in Sidney, Nebraska
I always feel bad when there's not a marker, too. But I have them in my tree, and I suppose they will live on in that way.

Roger and Ada Brennan are not (to my knowledge) related to my Brennans. My big mystery is my great-grandmother Sopha (Heist) Brennan, who died in Los Angeles in 1894. Her death certificate said her body was sent back to Sidney, but I've never found any grave record for her, so she may have ended up in Denver, instead.

If you ever come across her, drop me a line! :-)

Brennan's in Sidney, Nebraska
Thanks so much for trying to find the graves of my relatives. I don't think I'll ever make to to Sidney myself, and without people like you, I would always be left to wonder.

Cheers,

Sean Dixon
