Hi,
Greetings from Dublin.
I want to advise you of further details concerning a memorial that you showed an interest in.
I do not want to leave the message publicly available, so I would be grateful if you would send me an email, to which I will reply immediately.

What a shame, I haven't seen them yet. You must have send them to the wrong e-mail address. It should be: r.velde@hetnet.nl

You can also try the "Contact-button on my website www.prinsesirenebrigade.nl
I hope you'll try it again!

Succes.

Regards,
Richard

Thank you ever so much for all your efforts! I'm so curious for this photo of his grave.
My e-mail address is r.velde@hetnet.nl

It would be marvellous if you could find something in an old newspaper.

Regards,
Richard

How did you find that out so easy?
His fiance was so depressed that she died 6 weeks later. I didn't know who she was. Perhaps she lies near to him?
I heard that his family changed their name from Trip to (more English) Tripp. Perhaps there are still some siblings alive around Hull.

Thanks for your investigation!

Thank you ever so much. His grave means quite a lot to me.
Have you visted my website already: www.prinsesirenebrigade.nl Just look on the button "Erelijst gesneuvelden" On top of that new page you'll see a link "Hier" Press on that and you'll see the page with his name on.

Thanks for helping me!

Regards,
Richard

grave of Dutchman Jan Engelinus Trip
Hi,

I'm Richard van de Velde from the Netherlands. I researched killed army men of the Dutch Princess Irene Brigade. I found out that the first Dutchman from this brigade got killed on November 26 1940 in Llandudno. He got caught on his bike bij a car. His fiance was so depressed that she died 6 weeks later. His remaines were burried in Eastern Cemetery in Kingston upon Hull.

Is it possible for you or a friend of you to make a photograph of his grave?

I would be very gratefull for that!

Regards,

Richard van de Velde
