Today I saw that you had taken the photo for Alva S. Hudson in Newton. I don't recall seeing it before so I wanted to thank you. He was my grand uncle. I did not request the photo as I kept thinking I'd get out there and do it myself so I truly appreciate your doing the picture. Your contributions to Newton Cemetery are appreciated.

Yes, Sula Dixie Dunkin Beasley was Eugenia youngest sister. Their other siblings were: Mary Emma Dunkin Lovelady Fortenberry, Sarah Ida Dunkin Powdrill, and Jeremiah "Jerry" Anderson Dunkin.
Mary Emma (B. 1874 Louisiana D. 1936 Angelina County, Tx) was first married to James Robert "Bob" Lovelady in 1892. Their children are: Oliver Lee, William Anderson, Ed, Clarence, Clydie, Mattie, and Floyd, After Bob died, Mary Emma married Charles Fortenberry 1912 San Augustine, Tx. Their children are: William and Charles.
Sarah Ida (B.1877 Shelby County, Tx D.1957 Lufkin, Tx) married John E. Powdrill. Their children are:
Mary, Sarah, and Sula are all buried at Old Union Cemetery in Lufkin, along with their parents Robert A. Dunkin and Mariah Louann Mullins Dunkin. Jerry is buried at IOOF cemetery in Lufkin.
Their father, Robert A. Dunkin served the Confederacy in the Louisiana Infantry 19th Regiment Company C. His confederate pension application is on file at the Texas State Library archives department. They will mail copies by request for a very small fee. I think it is either ten or twenty cents per page plus shipping.

Thank you for all of your help with Eugenia!
I am not registered with ancestry on a paid subscription, but I did attempt to access it at my local library. It seems like there is a lot of great information there.
I do like to use Familysearch.org a lot. It is a free service and seems to have a lot of great information there also.
I will submit the edit information for Eugenia to be linked to her parents. That way her children's descendants can have access to her lineage information.
Have a very happy Thanksgiving!

Apparently my husband's grandmother must not have known that Bud and Eugenia (Jeanie) had a third son! Thank you for sharing that information.
Would it be safe to assume then that the Eugenia (Jeanie) Dunkin (Duncan) Chandler is the first wife of the W. E. Bud Chandler that is listed here? Or did I get the wrong people?
Thank you so much for all of your help!

|Dee Mack||RE: Re: Eugenia Price # 61614461|
Thank you so much for contacting me regarding the information on Eugenia. I try my best to only submit edits if I feel I have accurate information. If I have made a mistake and have the wrong couple here, I would really want to know so that it can be corrected!!
The information that I was given on Eugenia "Jeanie" Dunkin (Duncan) Chandler came from my husband's grandmother's family history research before she passed away.
According to her, Eugenia was a sister to my husband's great-grandmother, Sula Dixie Dunkin Beasley. Eugenia was reportedly born in 1868 Louisiana to Robert A. Dunkin and Mariah Mullins. She reportedly married Bud Chandler in 1884 Nacogdoches County. They reportedly had two sons, Johnnie and Ben. Eugenia passed away in 1895.
When I looked her up on Find A Grave, I discovered that her memorial not only matched the birth and death dates given to me by my grandmother-in-law, but also had a gravestone that showed her buried alongside Bud. I only then made the assumption that I had the correct individuals according to my grandmother-in-law's notes.
If I have the wrong couple, please let me know!
Thank you so much for your help and have a wonderful Thanksgiving week!
