******05/19/13...have had a nasty bout with a sinus infection for a couple of months....no energy to get out. Hoping to get out next weekend....energy finally returning****I was born and raised in Kansas City. Married with two daughters. I enjoy reading, writing and watching movies and remodeling our 140 y/o Victorian house in Leavenworth. Enjoy this site and will help contribute as I can. Looking for information on Masters/Kahler/Leaf and Johnson in Missouri and Iowa.
I am currently working on Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leavenworth.....once I have finished with the requests there, I will start on Mount Muncie. Please be patient! :) As I am adding photos, if there is no memorial for them, I will add one as well as the photos...if you discover a loved one that I have added and would like me to transfer the memorial to you, please let me know. As for the photos, if you need them for other projects you are working on for you family tree, feel free to use them.
Please visit my nephew, Ray Jr. lost him in a tragic rollover accident October 2011. And my Dad passed on Good Friday, April 6th, 2012. I miss them so much....
I enjoy visiting everyone's friends and relatives and leaving tokens in their memory. I may not leave a note, but be assured, I read each one that I visit. If you have time to visit my family and friends, I thank you in advance. Have a great day! | |

 | duplicate memorial I wanted to create a memorial for Richard LeParmentier, but when checking I found there already were 2 existing. So it is my understanding these dups should be merged into one memorial.

 | RE: George Jones Memorial I agree. Especially from someone who is not an active contributor. I actually posted the first memorial for Singer Bob Welch last summer but administration gave it to someone else who had posted previous famous memorials.
Here is another ~

 | RE: Thatcher memorial Carl, there is no grave/there is no memorial; her ashes have not yet even been interred. Best, Martin. | | | Martin Packer
 | RE: Thatcher memorial Her ashes have NOT yet been interred by the way, and will not be until at least the autumn of this year. | | | Tom Nelson
 | Walton Marshall "Walt" Bodine, Jr Hi again, Carl. I promise not to bother you about this guy - sometime!!. But I now think we have a problem with his name. If you look at his dad's Death Certificate, you will see that HIS middle name is "Martin". So, do we know for a fact that Walt's middle name was "Marshall"? The STAR said so in their article in Monday's(?) paper but can we trust that? If so, then you should probably remove the "Jr" suffix that I asked you to add. Sorry about that! If you have one of Walt's books at home, maybe that will tell the story. Have a great day. Tom | | | Tom Nelson
 | Bernadine M. "Bernie" Beisner Bodine Hi! I left Bernie's obit in your email inbox. Sure hope you can use it. Tom | | | Tom Nelson
 | Walton Marshall "Walt" Bodine Hi Carl! Thanks for the great memorial for Walt. I tried to send you an edit/sac email via Find A Grave but for some reason couldn't. So, assuming you still have editorial control over this memorial, would you please add the "Jr" suffix to the his name at the top? And would you please input the following relationship links?
Father - 103301146 (Walton) Mother - 103301141 (Mary)
I verified the relationships by reference to the 1930 federal census:
1930 United States Federal Census
Name: Walton Bodine Gender: Male Birth Year: abt 1921 Birthplace: Missouri Race: White Home in 1930: Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri View Map Marital Status: Single Relation to Head of House: Son Father's Name: W M Bodine Father's Birthplace: Kansas Mother's name: Mary E Bodine Mother's Birthplace: Kansas Household Members: Name Age W M Bodine 39 Mary E Bodine 36 Walton Bodine 9 Marie Hunt 19
And here, by the way, is a transcript of his marriage certificate which shows his date of birth and the "Jr" suffix:
Missouri Marriage Records, 1805-2002
Name: Walton M Bodine Jr Age: 30 Race/Ethnicity: White Birth Date: 27 Aug 1920 Marriage Date: 30 Dec 1950 Marriage Location: Jackson, Missouri Marriage County: Jackson Spouse Name: Bernadine M Beisner Spouse Age: 32 Spouse Birth Date: 6 May 1918 Spouse Race/Ethnicity: White
Finally, another Findagraver created a duplicate memorial for Walt later in the day yesterday and I have requested that it be deleted. We can only hope! Thanks again, Tom | | | Tom Nelson
