I am TOTALLY addicted to FIND A GRAVE! I try to research every person I enter, to the best of my ability. Any info, questions or a goof up on my part, drop me a line. Would love to hear from anyone!!! Be kind, I'm only human.|
Please don't be nasty and "demand" a memorial transfer. Ask politely or you will be ignored.
On July 23, 2015, I was informed that newspaper obits can be copied, add newspaper publication & date. Find a Grave rules.
On April 12, 2016 my mother passed away and I'm pretty busy right now settling her affairs. I apologize if I am slow with your requests.

|Lynn||Harold and Peggy Hanbaum|
Thanks so much for your help.
I worked on the Hanbaum memorials again this evening and found a bit more info by going through old newspapers. Now I think I have things straight. Finally!
I hope you don't mind, but I quoted a few of your words in the bio when describing Peggy Hanbaum. They truly sound like wonderful people, so I wanted them to have fitting memorials.
I really appreciate the information you sent and enjoyed reading the bio you wrote for Peggy's mother. I can just picture her from your description!

|Lynn||Harold Hanbaum #100961879|
I received your information for Harold and Lillian Hanbaum. Harold's memorial is now up-dated and I added a bio.
However, I have a question about the information you sent for Harold's wife. You suggested that her maiden name was Schwab and that her nickname was Peggy. I found obits for both Harold and his wife, but both of them give her maiden name as O'Neil/O'Neal.
I was unable to find any source that listed her as Peggy, but her middle initial was M. That made me wonder if her middle name might have been Margaret, hence the nickname of Peggy. Is that something you know firsthand?
Her obituary listed her parents as James O'Neil and Della May (nee Martin) O'Neil. It said Harold's wife was preceded in death by two brothers, but did not include their names, nor were there any living siblings listed.
I try so hard to get things right, but I am uncertain as to what to put for her maiden name.
Thank you very much for your help!

|Grifs||Two Bay City men named Leon Kostus|
Thanks for amending the dates on your memorial for Leon Kostus, son of Joseph and Rosa, husband of Marcyanna. He is the Leon born on 15 May 1886, though I haven't found a record of when or where he died.
The other Leon (born 11 Feb 1887, son of John and Antonia, wife of Josephine) is listed on both the MI and Social Security records as Leon G Kostus (same surname spelling). The Michigan Death Index (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VZB8-1HN) says he died in Bay City on 26 Dec 1974. He doesn't have a Findagrave memorial, because we don't know where he is buried - so there is nothing to fix on him.
BTW, the Leon born in May doesn't show a middle name or nickname on any of his records. (The Leon born in February is the one who had the middle name of George and the nickname of Leo.) I just submitted a name edit to you with that change.
Thanks for your help in getting this straightened out. :-)

Glad all is well with you. I worry when I don't see you around. Be well and I will gladly pass the mantle back when you're ready. Just tap me on the shoulder and it's all yours. Hugs.
