I have been doing genealogy and family history since I was about 22 years old. I now live in Wilson County, Kansas where I do not have any personal family links, so I do voluteer lookups at our local library and cemeteries.
My philosophy is that memorials should be in the hands of those who loved and knew the individuals. Why would I want to hang on to "ownership" of a memorial of someone's loved one who could contribute so much more to their lives? Just please make transfer requests through the memorial's "Edit" tab. Please let me know your relationship to the person if you would. I would want you to have some kind of personal knowledge of that person. And of course if it is my relative too, I would probably be more of a stickler for the "official" guidelines.
I truly hope some of my work helps others locating their loved ones. I have had SO MANY people on here help me. I can never express my fullest gratitude.
Dollie Robson Her name is listed as Della Ann Robson with record indicating nickname of "Dollie". This is untrue. Her name is Dollie and she had a twin named Ollie which died very young. Please correct the record. I would like to have management of this record as Dollie is my grandmother. I believe you are owner of all the Robson's in the Neodesha cemetary and I am requesting ownership of them as well. Paul Wilford Robson Donald Robson Charles Robson Ruby K Tibbets Robson

Whiteside Cemetery Hello Gene-- Do you know where the Whiteside Cemetery is near New Albany, KS? This is not the Whiteside-Kilpatrick Cemetery closer to Neodsha. Elderly relatives took me to it about 1970 when I was a kid. You had to walk around the edge of a field and it was buried into the tree line above a creek, perhaps Fall River. It is tiny and was used in the 1860's and 70's, I presume on Whiteside land. William Sissom lived nearby and was buried there in 1871, and his son John. William's stone was pulled out and placed at Weakley Cemetery about 15 years ago. Hope to revisit it in three weeks when in KS.
Grant Cemetery at Marion county Kansas Oyer, infant born/died Sep 16,1899, Number 28111086 created by Gene Ewert, July 7, 2008. If you will look at the list of burials there is a Oyer, Female, #41748451 with the same dates, created by Richard Parker. This could be a duplicate but I do not want to delete your entry. I have only left a message to you because the other entry has a picture. FYI
Carrie Stewart Hi Gene, I am researching the Sherman family of eastern NC and found where you posted a pic of the head stone of Carrie Stewart, wife of JT Stewart. She is buried in the Battle Park Cemetery in Nash Co, NC. I was so excited to find this and wondered if you would by any chance have any info on her husband's name? Thank you so much for all your hard work. Gwen Sherman
